Dollfie Dream 20th Anniversary Project

I passed on this two... isn't it the 3rd time they've been released? I did pick up a couple of their outfits recently though.

They should have made Takina and Chisato instead.

As characters in the akihabara lineup? Yes.

In terms of the dolls itself, No - completely different head, eyes, clothes, and body type.

The Tony Taka collab makes them even more of an event, Though it remains to be seen if the two make it to Melty and Kirika levels, or Neris and Airi levels.

Yeah, they went up a little over a week ago.  I'm still waiting on Volks to ship Natsuki.  

Of course I ordered the new Natsuki.  New head, new wig, and I'd want the new outfit either way.  

since #16 is chimikko body

maybe next will be new head and dream choice 😄

I really wonder how I totally missed their release. I didn't notice they were up until I saw someone posting who already owned them and I was like "WHAT? WHEN!" 😭
This must be the most quietest release I have personally witnessed so far. Hope Natsuki gets a restock. 

Honestly, I only like Natsuki's outfit.  Miku would look amazing in it!

Finally got a shipping notice for Natsuki.  Just over 2 weeks, not too bad of a processing time.  Of course, I'll be taking photos of her with Natsuki ver. 1 and tan Natsuki.  

Wasnt Miku released before? Whats the difference between NT and the previous version? 
I dont see any change though

The new miku has updated faceup and the NT outfit verses the "original Miku" outfit.

So 20 wasn’t in the Volks News that just came out, I wonder if they’ll announced it at Dolpa?

I bet 20 will be something like the announcement of the best of polling winners, or something else we're expecting.  It'd be cool if it were something a little less expected, like maybe a new Rei Ayanami, being she was the first licensed DD, and released in early 2004.  Given that whatever 20 is revealing so close to 2024, a 20th anniversary Rei would be cool for the first Dolpa of the year.   It'll probably something, though.

How about a resin Disney Princess? It was about this time of the year when they announced Rapuncel and about a month later, at Dolpa, when they announced Cinderella. It seems to be Belle in the Doll Party 50 picture, after all.

But the 20 projects are specifically for Dollfie Dream, not Super Dollfie. They are probably announcing the identity of the next Disney Princess regardless, because they seem to at the end of every December Dolpa, but that has nothing to do with the DD anniversary.

I also can’t see the Belle you’re referring to, although I do think she’s probably next in that lineup given that they made those shoes for her (and Jasmine) in April.

edit: I do hope it’s something…interesting and not stuff that’s just a given to happen in the year anyway or connected to one of the other points (like announcing the poll winner/s, although that would be interesting just because they don’t typically do that. My hope for easier tan availability and tawny in Dream Choice has all but evaporated unfortunately.😞 
….I guess there’s maybe the minute possibility they reveal the Dollfie Cafe thing that had its unveil cancelled before, if that’s still in the works🤔 (assuming it’s Dollfie Dream related because it may not be)

I do see a pair of dolls in a case, and the girl has a yellow gown, but I don't think it's Belle. I would expect a Princess soon, but Ariel was tweeted in February. Unless they did a tease at the December event, she wasn't a December announcement.

She was teased at the end of December Dolpa last year. No photos, just announced right at the end.

So we may hear about another Princess. Hopefully Belle, and she'll be as easy to get as Ariel.

Could be Jasmine or Snow White though. Depending on how she looked I might want Jasmine, their brown SD color is really beautiful.

Lol, their Ariel page is gone, but iirc she was a pre-order, just not directly available to anyone outside of Japan. You could fairly easily get a proxy to get her for you without gambling the proxy fees on a click war or lottery.

Yes, you still needed the additional hoop of a third party, but it was a straight walk to the prize after that.

I think you are right. The dress doesn't look quite like Belles dress. It's hard for me to see for sure, that pic is so tiny and pixelated.

That is 100 % true! And I really should have remembered that, after all this is DOLLFIE DREAM 20th anniversary project! 🤣

When we're talking about this yellow dress, are we talking about the tiny photo in the banner that says 'Dollfie Auction' and there's a girl in a yellow dress in a case and she's with a prince? If so, looks like she has gloves, which Belle has, but the crown screams Anastasia to me 🤣 The man with her could be the Beast, same style coat, could be a dark blue instead of a bright blue and both have a gold trim. He also has the same brown riding boots (but it's also a popular look on princes). Back to the yellow dress lady, the pattern in the front could be quilted with some little roses on it? Hard to tell. Could be her if they took liberties with the dress 🤷‍♀️ When does the last item get revealed?

Keep in mind that auction doll has nothing to do with the upcoming Dolpa anyway - they show photos from past events on the Dolpa banners (since they can’t show photos from an event that hasn’t happened), so it’s really just there as an example of an auction in the past, indicating there is probably an auction SD at this one, although that in itself is also nothing new or special as far as Dolpa goes.

As for when they reveal the last DD anniversary thing, they were being all ‘will everything be revealed within the year? Ohoho wait and see’ about it which makes me wonder if it’ll be an end-of-Dolpa announcement.

I immediately checked the anniversary site to seeing if they were counting that as one of the 20 - doesn’t seem like it, and I noticed the spot for #20 does now say:

The final project will be announced at Dolpa venue! Look forward to it♪

That... makes a lot of sense lol. I'm facepalming myself right now. And the previous statement that it can't be a Disney girl if this is a DD specific list. (But a Disney DD doll would be so goood!) I guess we'll just have to 'ohoho wait and see' in about two weeks. I'm so curious what it could be! I'll just have to distract myself in the meantime to make time fly. 

Does anyone at Dolpa know what Dollfie Dream item 20? I'm so curious but I'm worried it's going to be something very anticlimatic ._.
