Dollfie Dream 20th Anniversary Project

Wonder if certain uniforms are not present because those series dolls weren't popular in the prev polls? Or perhaps licenses expiring?
Having Rin's school uniform show up twice is a bit silly (ver 2 was superior, there I said it! the skirt had more pleats, and came with shoes)

i do hope the SakuraWars battle uniforms get enough love.... and they'd actually use different materials this time!!

Licence shinenigans are the most likely thing, since there is little other rhyme or reason with the missing stuff (noticed Mashiro iro symphony is out too)

At first I though they had just removed the lesser visual novel collabs where the publisher had to make a subcompany for the "pure" console versions, and then I see Mashiro's hakama set, and Lump of sugar, which at the moment doesnt seem to do the pure thing.

But again the stuff thats missing probably wasnt going to win any popularity votes, so no point in pursuing a re-licence ... but yet we still have items on this list that you can still buy from Volks int. that are getting on a few years now.   ... and listing the bodysuits? ... really?

 

Rin and Saber's bikinis not being included can't be due to fan disinterest or licensing issues, since all of the other Type-Moon outfits are included, (excepting the just released Ciel's school uniform).  

Of course, it could be Volks left off outfits that recieved no votes in the last outfit poll.  The F/HA bikinis suggest something like that over data from the doll poll earlier this year being used.  

 

I bet the next poll be divided into DDdy, DDS and MDD/DDP, similar to this polls pre-/post-2016 set up.  

Will be voting all in for the Beatrice alternate outfit, I've loved that outfit for years, more so the DD one..
Eva school uniform almost made it for me, but priority on Beato..

After that, Super Sailor Moon, Usagi and Minako's uniforms.
Might focus on the fuku vs the Super outfit though since I feel ppl would vote on that regardless..?

voting for nia's parka outfit from the older outfits, and mash's outfit from the newer ones :^) i wonder what they will do if any of the much older outfits that are known to deteriorate win, like the sakura wars pleather suits for example.. do you think they'd change the material to one that would last longer?

It did occur to me that one reason for these releases was to replace deteriorating elements on limited dolls.  The voting might be a way to judge how much interest there is in keeping a character dressed as themselves after the pleather turns to dust.

When Uzuki was first released, her uniform skirt was the wooooorst. A weird sticky literally-painted-on pattern... awful. Her 2nd release a few years later seemed to have a proper fabric for the skirt.... so Volks can and does update materials! when they want <_<;; I am hopeful!

That is so true, I love my V1, but her skirt was in need of better materials. Mio’s was just as bad, exact same material, and sadly she’s unlikely to ever get an updated release. 

I’ve noticed they occasionally release the shoes on their own. Uzuki’s got a solo release a while back. 

I'm late to the convo but, of course I'm voting for nothing but Miku outfits.  I'm not sure which ones yet, since there are so many.

I ended up voting for 005 (I like the outfit and the lion omg), 35 (really like these shoes), and 70 (the shoes and top).

Then 100 (I love the roses), 127 (I like how this is more basic but also really cute), and 134 (this is so cozy!!). 

I definitely lean more toward versatility/cute basics vs. more character specific 😅

My vote for 9, 57, 77 and 83, 99 and 108. I need the sailor moon outfit, and the miku twinkle,the after market price is insane

I've been voting for Shibuya Rin's school uniform, Sakura's dark transformation set, Alice's penguin costume, Ribbon Girl for Miku, Super Sailor Moon and usually Yor's casual outfit to round things out.  Rin's uniform and Ribbon Girl are both crazy expensive, so reissues would be nice.  

I voted for 55, 64 and 43, then 83, 121 and 135. 

 

There isn't enough Miku outfits in the first section, but I have always liked Cirno's outfit.  And of course, I have a regular body suit for Miku, but I"d like a "official Miku" bodysuit.  I was going to try and figure out how to affix one of the "01" stickers to the regular bodysuit I have for her, but I never got around to doing so.  The markup prices on her bodysuit and her other outfits are crazy!

My votes have mainly been going to Miku's 'Ribbon Girl' and Rin's 'Senbonzakra' outfit as of right now. I would love to have both, but Ribbon Girl is so expensive to get second hand and Rin's Senbonzakura outfit never really comes up for sale from what I've seen. I don't know really any of the outfits and characters in the first section, so I've just been voting for the ones I find cute or interesting (mostly that penguin one tho so far lol).

I haven't suggested many outfits on the 2nd survey though, besides 'Sonic Style' and 'Honey Whip' Miku. Might suggest a Rin or Kaito outfit too, but I can't think of which ones I'd want.

I had the chance to get the penguin outfit from Volks and didn't take it and have regretted it ever since.
SO all my earlier period votes go to the penguin.

Voting for a bunch of miku outfits, ribbon girl, deep sea girl, crane priestess especially. I cant afford them and I've wanted them for YEARS.

We have Rin's Senbonzakura outfit. I considered it a grail, but it appeared on Yahoo Japan Auctions earlier this year. I got it for a decent price, because it didn't come with the wig.

I think it's an OK outfit, but the clogs were also broken (maybe repairable) and I don't know if the eyepatch vinyl print will crack/peel off over time.

Anybody else reading and not sure what to vote on... that 🐧 needs to return!!!

Ooh, the outfit is very nice on her! I'm a big sucker for the Senbonzakura outfits in general though. Rin's is one of my favorites to use in Project Diva, so I am a bit biased towards hers in particular. I hadn't realized the outfit was supposed to come with a wig, figured you were supposed to wear the outfit with her standard wig.

But yea, the more I see the penguin outfit, the more I want it. Will definitely continue voting for it these next few weeks lol

Ribbon Girl I found once, but the seller wanted $600+ for it. 😱🤑  I think its still on whatever site I last saw it on.  Idunno, since I don't look for it anymore.

Either way, I'm voting for both, among the other Miku outfits I'm voting for.  And that penguin outfit is super cute!  Think I might vote for it a couple of times.

Miku's Senbonzakura outfit is quite easy to find. I almost bought it as it was on Yahoo Japan Auctions and nobody seemed interested. I was worried the boots might have deteriorated.

I do have her Senbonzakura wig - I picked it up in a very nicely priced bundle with her regular wig.

Ribbon Girl is common on Yahoo Japan Auctions. We had to pay the going rate (i.e. a lot) but it's a fabulous outfit. It's definitely one of those outfits somebody will wear and then never want to take off. My Kizuna AI seems to want to cosplay Ribbon Miku forever 🥰.

Of course there's a good chance the outfit may be rebooted. I don't think it's particularly rare though.

Never put those boots on without socks. I put those on my snow Miku for a few months, and it took almost 2 months to treat the stains. 

DDFes was officially announced for July 15th-17th. As already unveiled on the anniversary site, this years DDFes is going to be a special anniversary edition, although the details are still under wraps.

The anniversary version of the photo contest was also announced for this, and the theme this time is appropriately ‘celebration.’

If they play nice, it might. Though it wouldnt surprise me if they only had a limited lottery based teaser release along the lines they had with the webstore anniversary.

Also...that tan girl looks really tan for some reason.

Cos she’s Anthy - so far the only DD in the Icon tawny colour.

I’m hoping tawny is somewhere in the anniversary projects yet to be announced myself. (Ie added to Dream Choice, or even DCoord only, just something…)

EDIT: I… don’t know what you mean by ‘limited lottery based teaser release along the lines they had with the webstore anniversary’, it’s a new base body…? Why would it be limited?

I'd absolutely love if they did this! ❤️ Well, I'd love it even more if we could buy Tan and Tawny dolls just like Flesh and Semi-White dolls, but if Tawny made it into Dream Choice at the very least, I'd be content with that. The Tan skin is a lovely tone, but it would be amazing for Volks to offer a proper dark skin colour for DDs. The Tawny colour is so beautiful, too, it would be a shame to keep it limited to only Icons and the occasional character DD. Also, imagine Tawny DD boys... !

I keep hoping that MDD2.0 means they finally made a boy version as well, but maybe I'm being too optimistic. :'D I just want boys in all sizes please! DD Dynamite boy body that looks similar to their resin SD17 would be a dream come true... ;-;
