I've been a BJD servant collector since 2007. 😅 Years ago, I saw and fell hard for Hatsune Miku as a Dollfie Dream. I've wanted one ever since, so when the opportunity and the money made it possible, I jumped at the chance to get her! Now I'm waiting for her to arrive! I'm your typical nerdy guy who loves cute things. I'm into Doctor Who, Vocaloids, Sci-Fi. Fantasy, Horror, anime, RPG Video Games, Paganism, and other nerdy things. I do have a few figures from when I visited Akihabara, but Dollfies are so big and life-like people definitely think they're real. Which Miku did you get? I was looking yesterday and there are no Mikus for sale on Mandarake [but sometimes they fail to write good English titles of their listings]. Her Empty Sekai outfit is cool if you can find it, though it requires eye surgery 👀. I've recently acquired a few Miku outfits and wigs. I just found out a couple of days ago about recast/bootleg Miku. The seller had excellent feedback, so I'm thinking that she's legit. I also found some outfits there, and I snagged a couple from there as well. Ebay usually tends to overprice stuff rather than be a source of good deals for DDs and their accessories - scalpers are EVERYWHERE there and love taking advantage of newbies. And the less you spend on the doll, the more you have leftover for all her clothes! Still, congrats on Miku, I'm glad you were able to hunt her down! We can help with authentication if you have a picture of her face. Recast Miku's face is very easy to tell apart from the legit one. Please ping me when replying! My account is too new to have it. Actually, I bought Miku, then realized that I needed to find out more than what I knew about vinyl dolls. Opposite of what I did when I got into BJDs, tbh. 😅 I really hope she's legit! I've wanted her so badly and for so long that I decided to splurge and go for her. Its been a terrible few months, and I needed something to cheer me up. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, ever since I was a kid! I actually have one BJD that cosplays as a Jedi, and another one that I'm currently working on that is a Padawan. I've seen that video, but I think I'll watch it again, just to be sure of what to look for. I put my Miku on a credit card, so I hope that if there's any trouble, I can get my money back. 🤞 I'm well aware of recasts on the resin side. I accidentally bought one, and it took me forever to sell her to someone that didn't care that it was a recast.
