nerdrom Posted December 30, 2022 Hello everyone! I've lurked on here for a few years now, figured it's time to finally start an account so I can potentially post. I started collecting about 15 years ago when I took my girlfriend to the Volks store in LA and we ended up taking home our first little one. I had recently gotten a bonus at work, and to celebrate, I had offered her "one doll of your choice or a ring of similar price". She chose the doll, but got the ring later anyway 😄 Now we're married and have "a few more dolls". We just broke into the world of vinyl in the last few years, and our little army still grows. Looking forward to joining everyone here, and having a good time in the hobby.
RetroKanojo Posted January 2, 2023 Hey there and welcome to the forums! It's so nice to hear that you share the hobby with your wife! I think most of us would have picked the doll as well. I'm just curious on which doll she ended up choosing! Definitely make sure to show us pictures, when you get the chance!
nerdrom Posted January 4, 2023 Thanks! To be honest, I was not at all surprised she picked the doll. She had been talking about wanting one for a while. She walked in without really knowing which one she was going to pick (she really wanted a Yukinojo, but that wasn't happening that day, haha). She walked out with a SD10 Kun, which she immediately fell in love with as soon as she held her. I need to do some organization and get some good pictures together. Right now, she's relaxing on her couch, and in no mood for photos (translation: she's totally ready to go, but our photo setup is in disarray)

I am a bit curious about your girls, any older photo’s to show? Seeya around Rajke Greetz, Rajke
