That is a cool bike. It has a lot of sharp lines. The wide wheels can help with stability. Hope you will share your progress from time to time.

Oh boy! Well since we are well into January of 2023, I suppose it is time to make a list of goals I want to accomplish this year huh?

Last year I achieved a lot of my goals, so I am hoping I can be just as successful this year! So without further ado, let's jump into it.

• Finish Uta This is my number 1 priority since she is almost done and I love her so much.
• Work on putting a very special girl from a very dear friend @Bellatrix on layaway. I want to keep her a secret, but know she is amazing and I really hope to bring her home at the end of this year. Thank you @Bellatrix for being amazing.
• Give my lovely "new" girl I picked up in Nakano yesterday (1/15/2023) some serious TLC.✅
• Get Tamaki and Secret Girl their respective outfits. Their concepts require some pretty elegant clothes, and I really want them finished by the end of the year.
• Finish Khepra and Ryomou. Again like Secret Girl and Tamaki I have concepts for them I would like to have done by the end of the year.
• Make Glitch spiffy. I have huge, huge plans for them.❌
• Come back to Japan in the summer to meet with up @Tierparkzone and @ragnamuffin I love them both and I love visiting with them here in Japan.
• Find Beatrice. May not be feasible this year but I love her and seriously would love to have her. Longest hunt for a doll counting.
• Get Clover a cloak.
• Get Annie a proper wig.❌
• Sell Plum.✅
• Get rid of the doll clutter in my home.✅
• Start doing photo stories.
• Start learning 3D modeling so I can make things for people.
• Make a streamer set up for Uta on my computer desk so we can be game buddies.
• Hooves for Clover and Blushing.
• Faceup practice.❌
• Make a Vanitas custom, maybe, might be a mid-2024 thing. Really want 1 or 2 boy dolls for my collection to finish it off. (Vanitas and Clear).
• Get some of the 2 Heart girls. Lucy V.1 especially. Again maybe more of a 2024 thing, but you never know.❌

I kind of organized things by most to least achievable in 2023 for me. Regardless, I really hope I can cross off most of the list this year! I'll update in the thread regularly about my progress.

my big goal for 2023 is to design and make some custom clothes for my marisa!! my aunt is a seamstress and we are planning to get together to make some dresses and blouses... we already bought lots of super cute fabrics to use the diy aspect of this hobby interests me a lot and i think it will be so fun to make one-of-a-kind pieces for my doll that i wouldn't be able to find anywhere else...

i also really want to get a second doll this year.. im hoping to eventually get akira, so she and mari can be mischievous kitty-mouthed sisters!! :3

 

I originally was thinking of a goal to get 4 new girls this year, but it might be more than that the way things have worked out so far!

 

- Yor Forger - I tried and failed to get her in the click war but lucked up and found someone selling her so she’s on her way now!

- Sailor Mars - She was my main goal for this year and I actually found one pretty quickly! I have her on layaway so she will be checked off soon!

- Anya Forger - Of course I have to put her on the list since they’ve announced her.

- DDH-06 - Another girl I have in the works coming soon. I think I’m going to try and turn her into Queen Serenity to go with my Sailor Moon.

- Snow Miku 2023 - I really love the new Snow Miku outfit but since I don’t have a Miku, I’m going to attempt to find someone willing to sell just the doll.

- Body for a floating head

- Customize a current doll and turn her into Kyoko Kirigiri from Danganronpa.

 

Pretty ambitious, but I’m super excited! Also, I’ll be keeping an eye out for Anthy. She’s going to take a long time to find, as well as Sailor Jupiter.

I failed really miserably in the clickwar. But during our doll Zoom call today @Tierparkzone went on the Volks Dollfie site then I couldn't access it anymore 😂. Maybe their systems can't actually cope with that level of traffic, never mind the clickwar traffic.

I too found Yor Forger. She's currently in the Buyee warehouse (photo below). Although I dearly love Spy x Family I live in fear of her outfit since some black pleather has just ruined my beautiful Kirika's bust. Fortunately it's just a regular DD bust so I can replace it if I need to. It never would have happened if Volks had more v2 bodysuits in stock (both semi-white and tan are now out of stock).

A Miku just appeared on a FB group but she's in poor condition. She still has plenty of potential suitors though. There are also quite a few on Buyee but again her outfits deteriorate fast. Personally I think my Kizuna AI makes a fabulous Miku.

As for the Sailor Moon series, from what I've seen Sailor Moon herself is the most in demand. I was really lucky with Asuna (Titania). I thought she was unobtainium, but a couple of weeks after I set up my Mandarake alert she appeared. She's quite plentiful on Buyee, but her price has gone up a lot.

With my own dolls, I'd like to acquire less new dolls and spend more time styling the existing ones. Having said that I was looking round to see who could wear a particular outfit and everybody was like, nope, I like what I'm wearing already. So maybe I do need new dolls 😁.

We have a tonne of outfits but I'm starting to think the girls would be better if they had their main outfit and one truly amazing second outfit. Kizuna is still totally overwhelmed at receiving Miku's Ribbon Girl outfit. I was really uncertain about Asuna but she's really rocking the Erika Sendo outfit I found on Mandarake coupled with a Miku melon green wig.

I actually have more Pureneemo grails than Dollfie grails now. I appear to have found one tonight though - Demonslayer Nezuko. I'm stiiiiiil waiting for the Emilia reboot but I fear she's been delayed again. Marisa and Reimu are being released shortly and I really want those given I have MDD Marisa (with MDD Reimu on the most wanted list).

My outfit grail list is quite long but I was overwhelmed to win a Clannad outfit on Yahoo Auctions. Some time I need to photograph my girls with the fabulous Clannad, Haruhi Suzumiya and Fortune Arterial art books I bought on my travels to Japan.

Glad you were able to find Yor too! As for Miku’s outfit, I don’t even want the original so one that super damaged or comes without one would be ideal for me. I just want Snow Miku and put the  new outfit coming out next month on her. 😁 

And I actually have Sailor Moon, I got super lucky finding her this past summer. I had decided that I didn’t want to attempt even getting the other dolls without Moon, but since I was able to find her (never thought I would) I’m trying to track the others down next. I really want her Super outfit but that one is so hard to find.

More dolls are always needed! Especially when there are adorable outfits to be worn! Erika Sendo’s outfit is a really cute one! Congrats on finding it!

Oh that is a pretty good price! Unfortunately I’m wanting to get Snow Miku to go with the new outfit coming out. But if I can’t find snow then I may get this one.

It's the end of January, but I already feel like I made some good progress so I'll be giving a little update!

Must Do: 

- Get my hands on Len's outfit! I've already found someone who might be willing to split with me, but if that fails, I would pre-order him myself and see if I like him better in person. If not, I might try to sell the body and/or head down the line.

✅ Commission a custom Faceup! I did it! In fact, the head is already done and will be shipped back to me later this week! This was my first time commissioning anything from anyone and I was crazy nervous about it, but the artist was really kind and helpful and she did an absolutely amazing job. I still can't believe I'm going to own such a pretty doll! I really hope I'll find a good wig and outfit to do the face-up justice! In my original post I mentioned going for one of two characters - well, that didn't pan out, actually a I went for character Nr.3 who sort of hit me blindsided. I'm already back on the waitlist for the next batch of commissions from this particular artist though, so one of the originally planned characters will also be realized. I even decided on who it will be already.  If the artist is so inclined, I'd love to commission her at least a few more times. 

✅ Get stands. Like, please. Well, I got one (1) stand, so that should count, right? It was a really cheap one from Aliexpress, but I'm honestly surprised at how well it works! I still want to get one of those 'invisible stands' as well.

- If we get a DDSB Aether through a Genshin collab, I will definitely try to get him.

Please Do: 

✅ I hope I can make myself go back to sewing and knitting for my dolls!  Another 'that should count' - I managed to sew a T-shirt (although it's uhh not the greatest) and I'm currently in the process of knitting a.. turtleneck crop top? We'll see how that pans out!

- Refurbish the doll sofa! Last year, I got an amazing doll sofa/couch - lounge? - but it could use a little bit of love. I want to repaint it and maybe change the cushion covers.

✅ Buy more clothes.  It doesn't feel like I bought that much, but the combined cost of my purchases make me confident in striking this one through lol I think I got most of the basics covered and I feel comfortable trying to get more specific styles/items now.

Now, this section was mostly about getting dolls from different companies, but I'm honestly not so sure about any of them anymore, perhaps with the exception of a SmartDoll acquisition. I just think that with KAITO and my newly commissioned (and (hopefully) future commissioned) heads I will be.. content? The idea of expanding into different brands/sizes just doesn't seem as appealing to me anymore.

Of course, that doesn't mean that I'm done. 

I am debating on whether or not to pick up a second KAITO (aftermarket, unless some come into stock after the pre-order?) purely to get my hands on another DDB. Now that I've successfully breached into the world of face-up commissions I'm tempted to get customs of Kamisato Ayaka from Genshin and Miku! But it would be a shame if I could only display one at a time (as I only own 1 DD body), so I'm thinking of getting an extra DDS - that'd be more height accurate for Ayaka too. However, that's all still undecided. I guess I'll just have to see how things evolve from here

 

So, I guess you could say it was already a productive first month of 2023 for me! Is there anything you all managed to tick of your lists already?

My goal is to finally put my Sailor Jupiter in her Senshi fuku (She’s been wearing her school uniform since I got her haha) I just need to make sure I line the inside of her tiara with flesh tape and any parts of her outfit that may potentially stain. And my other goal this year is to finally complete my 3 custom girls that have been wip for years. I actually attempted to make them back in 2017/2018 but I wasn’t happy with the results so in 2019 I decided to start them over from scratch. I illustrated their eyes and had them made into eye chips and designed their makeup and their heads are currently getting painted so making progress now!

My main plans this year would be working on my dolls' stories and working on a diorama.. New clothes are also priority for my DDs. And more hands 🙌🏻

If I get around to buying more DDs, I'll probably be grabbing more tan girls and getting the F/GO ladies. Maybe a second Saber Alter. 

Aside from that, I'm planning to continue focusing on my resin collection this year 🥲 but also try not to neglect my DDs in the process.

I appear to have accomplished one small goal... finding Pureneemo Nezuko. I have a lot of Dollfies so maybe I'll refocus on the smaller dolls for a while. I also want Emilia but she seems to have been delayed for a while. There's also Touhou Marisa and Reimu appearing in Pureneemo form. They have been spotted at doll shows so hopefully I can pick them up too.

I want MDD Reimu but I'm in no hurry... I think they will be my main dolls for Halloween this year. Last year's pumpkin is looking like it might last until October.

I need more projects to keep me busy and would love to have a diorama to film my girls in. I guess I need to think of a theme and then maybe visit a doll show to acquire accessories to fill it up (or maybe use the 3D printer more).

If I get more Dollfie outfits then it will be quality over quantity. I'm absolutely delighted to have acquired Miku's Ribbon Girl outfit. The Erika Sendo outfit was another great purchase. It wasn't cheap for what was really just a blouse and skirt, but Asuna has made it her own.

A little late but it's still January where I am~ (ﾉ´ヮ`)ﾉ*: '

I admittedly didn't achieve too many of my 2022 goals, partially due to work changes post-Covid eating up more time than I had hoped for and more doll purchases than I had planned for instead of finishing existing projects... heh heh. So here's attempt #2, in sequential order.

1. Finish purchasing and building new cases and shelves.
   • Got my Detolfs, just waiting for the base shelves I'd like them to stand on to be back in stock to purchase.
2. Finish inventorying and organizing all of my doll clothes, shoes, accessories, etc.
   • So close to being done! Everything will be tagged and bagged with where it was purchased and for how much in CAD (to make future re-selling and trades easier, and to track overall hobby spending.)
   • Since I just started the hobby in 2020/2021, I got a bit too excited and definitely over-purchased. To be fair, part of it was learning what will look good in-person vs. online, and learning my dolls' colour schemes and styles.
3. List and sell extra clothes, shoes, etc.
4. Purchase doll stands.
   • For what it's worth, I found the nice stands that ACbjd offers from their original store on TaoBao which comes out to quite a bit cheaper for me as a CAD currency conversion. It's probably cheaper for Americans to go through Alice's but I'd be happy to share the listing with anyone else who suffers converting to USD.
5. Doll displays.
   1. Clear off current shelves in order to make room for where my girls' will stay.
   2. Create their individual displays (might end up being a bit diorama-like.)
6. Finish core outfits/looks.
   • I'd like my girls to have a main outfit/look, related to the next goal below.
7. Profiles.
   • Take proper photos and finish write-ups of all my girls.
   • If I have the time for it, I'd like to create debut videos for them too if I ever end up getting around to starting my doll YouTube channel.
8. Set-up my TinyFox girls!!
   • They're all waiting in their boxes... (-ω-、)
   • Hoping to record each of their unboxings and document their beautiful and charming fullsets and styles.

 

And for context, here are my achieved 2022 goals:

• Buy all my girls proper bra and panty sets, all in white.
  • I feel so bad if they have nothing to wear in between outfit changes.
  • I even got a batch of 1/4 sets for all my future TinyFox girls!
• Finalize wigs.
  • After 8+ attempts, I'm finally happy with all my girls' wigs. (Thys took so many tries...) I'd like to make a video about it in the future exploring what I learned through the process of visualizing wigs online vs. when they arrive and actually look on the doll. (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)
• Started my 1/6 Azone collection.
  • Star Sprinkles series: complete with every release thus far.
  • Luminous Street: complete with every release thus far (I reeeeeeeally want them to continue this line!)
• Start and stay up-to-date on my TinyFox collection.
  • This admittedly wasn't a goal on my list originally but wow I love these dolls and I'm so happy I started this collection~ ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
  • Currently up-to-date on purchases, just missing the newest release Ashley.

Other than him, I’m really considering getting more Angel Philia dolls, the posability has really impressed me! I would also like to bring back a character of mine, not sure what doll to use for her tho. I was thinking of a DDP, the lankiness compared to MDD is cute… 🤔

I’m also planning to focus on getting nice clothing for my already existing doll family, they all have very different styles from eachother so sharing clothing is a challenge 😅

Overall I’ll try to prioritize finalizing my current doll’s looks and designs instead of buying new dolls, it will be challenging lol..!

Come on now, you KNOW that my house is The Home for Wayward Dollies!  😄  They all eventually wind up here anyways so you might as well help them along when you can.  LOL

Primary plan for this year is to buy or build a display for all my Dolls and figures. Detolfs used to be the best option, but with the recent prize spike. I've come to the conclusion I can build a cheaper display. So I'm gonna hound Thrift stores for a few months and if nothing good turns up, Its time to build.

My plans for this year are:

• Get Kaito

• Make a whole wardrobe of clothes for Kaito

• Draft patterns for Mashiro, whom has an L bust and the other girls things don't fit her

• Buy more shoes for everyone

• Get Autumn a new wig. Hers is very old and unfortunately ruined due to an incident with a hairdryer

• Maybe plan a TinyFox girl based on a game OC? If finances allow

• Finish a gift for a friend's DD

• Sew more in general

• Learn how to make eyes

I think that's it, but it certainly is already quite a bit
