Anya Forger (+ the new ChimikkoDD)

Oh, she's absolutely adorable...! Very tempted...but we'll see what the price point is. I'm also hoping the new body type is Yo-SD sized, too!

I wonder what chimikko stands for? 🤔 chi as in chibi? 

I'm also excited to see what the new body type is and how it will compare to MDD! I wonder how the chimikko body might be used for other dolls/if it will become a regularly available option for people to purchase separately 😯

I hope it will be regularly available if it’s a new size. I really like Anya but would hate to have to buy her to have that size. 😕

I also find it odd that they went with the 'o' mouth when Anya's smile is the default expression you see her with, at least outside the show's fan base. For those concerned, judging by these two angles it looks like her mouth is part of the painting mask rather than a set feature on the sculpt.

Chimikko is a slang word that means like teensy tiny baby. They probably didn’t go with Chibikko or Chibi (same meaning) because YoSD clothes are called Chibi Dress which could create confusion (especially if they aren’t compatible sizes).

Interesting. So she might be smaller then. 

At first, when I saw that pic, I was certain that Volks has made YoSD sized DD. (I mean, what choise do they have? Anya's size demands for it.) But if that truly is the case, I wonder if that head is changeable with the other body sizes? Probably not? That would be the first time, right? The head looks very proportioned to this new body type. (Now that I'm thinking, I seem to remember reading that some heads wobble on DDP bodies though...)

I wonder if she's going to be actually 'yo' sized cause YoMidi was... pretty awkward imo ~ but she looks much more proportional. I'm just glad that they're doing her right, and didn't just chuck her on the updated MDD body.

I may need to actually order this one..

It's gonna happen. Just a matter of when.

Anya looks really good and very close to how she actually looks. Wonder if Volks will eventually have the chimikkodd body for sale, but I guess right now it's just a matter of waiting for more information. She's really cute though!

That’s what I was thinking, an if so I will just find a face up artist to give her a small. The “o” is sweet for sure but I see myself enjoying and taking more photos of her smile. Wish they were giving us more than one head option. That would be super cool.

So excited! I really hope they do an alternate outfit for her like they did for Yor. I second those hoping for a comparison shot of her with Yor, but I'm also curious how she'll compare to a TinyFox 1/6. 

I'm happy she's a pre-order project and not a click war. 

Darn it all to heck and back but this will be the 6th doll in my 2023 no doll policy.  Oh for heaven's sake, take my entire bank account already.  They better not be making Loid or I will have to get a second job.🤣

But at the same time, some details about the chomikko are also up. and the height is 36,5cm, and its modestly pear shaped... although at the same time I feel the need to take a tape measure to my MDD's and confirm the 46,5cm height for that. or did the V2 body get a stretch.

my impressions on anya:

Painted mouth, and the shinenigans with the eyeliner paintwork continue... although almost tolerable this time, the jury is still out with this.

The standard outfit seems a solid effort, with the vertical lines so far being embroydered, although im not sure about the longevity of the embossed (assumed) pleather sleeve ends, and hemline.

The alternative outfit isnt much to talk about, but you do get a chimera plush, so completionists will get that just for that.

Payment either in a 50/50 split, or all up front which is a nice choise to have currently.

The new photos are melting my heart. 
I really like how ChimikkoDD looks compared to MDD - it is basically a much shorter MDD like I thought, using the same head and hands - not compatible or close to YoSD. Approaching DD nendoroid proportions lol.

Announcing it as a ‘new base body’ as part of the anniversary points has me hopeful.

I appreciate the 50/50 option but I'm not sure I like the pick up only for that. 

Omg, I didn't want to say it and get my hopes up but I was desperately hoping the new body would be in-between MDD and Yosd size 😭🙏 I want one!!!!
