You can't go wrong when asking Hikaru to do her face-up for you!

Absolutely stunning work!

Welcome to the forums!

What type of scale figures were you collecting? Alter? GSC? Kotobukiya? I am an avid nendoroid and figma collector and I have added a couple figures to my roster

Do you think that it was your introduction of the figures that sort of led you to getting a DD? Or at least interested ? I would be interested to know

Welcome!!!

There's a few figure collectors here in the forums. I'm quite an Alter fangirl myself but I have plenty of others... Figures were how I started and then I ended up falling in love with DD's! ^_^

I'm a total Alter and GSC fanboy, but my collection is also growing with figures from Kotobukiya, Max Factory and Volks (expensive >.<). I'm not that much of a nendoroid lover, although I admit that they're super kawaii....hnnnnnnnng

My only figma is Aegis from MF, she's guarding my shelfs

The main impact was my passion for figures, I always was a bit disappointed that I can't style them the way I want or customize other parts. Sure, figures are absolutely gorgeous but they're more for displaying in a showcase, so a doll was the perfect solution for me

Yay, another Alter fan *highfive* ^.^

I'm totally in love with DD's right now, received my first daughter today and I can't express how happy I am

New arrival post following soon!

Edit: I would have quoted your posts, but somehow it's not working :/

Oh her face is lovely! Hopefully you will have better luck with your DDIII than some of us here on the forums!

I started off with figma, then got a few nendos, then moved into PVC's. I definitely prefer DD's over figures as far as freedom to customize and style them - but both are nice so it's hard to pick one hobby over the other. ^^;

Hopefully, I read a lot about cracks and other issues with the DD III body :/ I was really concerned at the beginning but I thought I should give it a try. Also Volks will probably release options parts for the III body in the near future.

It's really hard to pick one hobby over the other, but I think I'm totally addicted to the customizability of DD's and my figures doesn't need that much care, except for dust wiping
