1/6 Vinyl/Friction joint skeleton body

I got a doll on aliexpress and i am disappointed in that amount of motion in the joints, it is using an elastic to hold it together and the elbows/knees can only really bend into one position nicely. Im looking for body thats very posable I can get I really like the head on this doll and got custom makeup so something that can attach to it either out of the box or with some sort of adapter it is held in place with a s hook through the elastic

I like the look of the angel philia bodies like this one http://faithz.com/sayuri-body-head-not-included-soft-skin-ver-whitey-p-1970.html and have seen them doing tonnes of cool poses but they dont do any in 1/6 size anything close to these would be cool if they exist

Have you tried obitsu 1/6, 1/4 and 1/3 body's?

That Aliexpress doll is almost certainly a bootleg, so you will probably not be able to post her in most doll communities. 😬 Bootlegs like that are made by taking a doll that an artist worked on and making unauthorized copies of it to sell for cheap. They undermine the sales of the real artists who make these dolls, so they're banned from being discussed in a lot of communities because of it. But they're also some of the easiest dolls to find because the bootleg creators have flooded search results with them in a lot of marketplaces, so a lot of newbies like you get tricked into buying them instead of a legitimate doll. I'm sorry if this is how you found out, I'm sure you spent a lot on her for a custom faceup and everything.

And if you still want to upgrade the girl you have, you have the option of buying just an Imomo or Tinyfox body to put the head on. Tinyfox uses a similar system to a resin's s-hook, so again, that body would probably be the best one. Just, again, remember that because she is a bootleg, she will not be able to be posted in a lot of doll communities. You'd have to find some that are "recast friendly". Recasts are the doll community's term for bootlegs.

 

As a side note, if you like Angel Philia's posing, that brand uses Obitsu's bodies. If you're interested in Obitsu, they do have smaller sizes available, but their 1/6s are not YoSD sized like the doll you bought is. Their 1/6s are called "mature" or "fashion" 1/6 because their proportions are more like a smaller Barbie or Monster High doll. They're also an affordable starting option, but if you want something that's more like a BJD, the smallest Obitsu has in that style is 40cm tall, which is 1/4.
