Here are my two boys now! I gave them some body blushing while I was at it.

Sadly they have to be bald for a little while now until their wigs arrive.

do you think the ones from mydollection are the 2.0 frames? It’s hard to tell which ones are the updated ones and which ones are not 😭😭

Bumping this question back on hand cause it got kinda buried! 
 

I may have someone who is willing to sell me one stateside but I want to make sure it’s the new stuff 😭 save me from some wobbly bits!

I'm not quite sure, but didn't only the 1/4 bodies get a version 2? Not sure if the 1/6 ones also got a revised skeleton.

I’m not sure 😭 that’s why I wanna double check before I make a big mistake! 
 

im wondering now if the 1/4 body I ordered is new or not aaaaaa

@AliceDoll The 1/6 dolls did get an update early on (they had a different problem of the legs falling off), but Kira and Guru (the ones in the listing you linked) were released after that issue was fixed.

As for the 1/4 dolls, all of the dolls being sold through the official taobao right now are most likely the 2.0 version. It's harder to tell with international dealers like mydollection though, since they could be selling old stock. I'd say for now the only 100% safe way to get a 2.0 is buying direct from taobao or through a proxy like Superbuy.

@MoiBakaDesu those faceups are so cute!!! I love how you really brought out the personality in the eyes you chose in the rest of the faceups 😍

Phew! Thank you! That takes care of the 1/6! I’m gonna try and buy it then! 
 

as for the 1/4 (T⌓T) I guess I’ll see when it gets here later this month! Hopefully the reseller orders from the taobao store but knowing my luck probably an older body 😭😭😭

No clue, but I have ordered the canis b head in caramel and planning to get a tan 1/4 boy when he gets released. So I could do a comparison of them when I receive them.

One of the biggest joy for me in being specialized on character dolls is making their personalities shine with the faceups and eyes and clothes I pick.

Judging by Imomodoll's color chart caramel will be quite a bit lighter, because I would say chocolate is the same as their 1/6 and 1/4 tan.

Just saw a post from Jane's Doll Land that they're discontinuing the 1/6 & 1/4 bodies? Anyone have any more info on this?

Hehehe, thanks a lot! I absolutely adore these outfits, the black-red one I have in 1/4 scale as well.

And because I'm on a roll, the Ruby that arrived yesterday, now as another Haruka as addition to the family.

From what I've looked up, it seems to be a misunderstanding? They're discontinuing the 1.0 body skeleton since the newer skeleton is out.

your faceups are very well done! if it doesn't bother you,may I ask what did you use to seal the faceups? i'm trying to find some non toxic material for sealing their faces with.

also will it look good if i pul a 1/6 head on a 1/4  body? or will it look too small

Not the person you asked, but liquitex matte varnish is often used as a non-toxic sealant! You just dab it on with a makeup sponge. It should be easy to find a good tutorial on youtube.

I've also heard that polycrylic works, but it's not very popular and is hard to find information on... ie probably not the best recommendation for a beginner 😉
