I have my 1/6 imomo doll and I thought 16mm eyes would fit so I ordered some. However they won't fit inside the little eye "cups" inside the head. They might if I cut the cups away but I don't want to do something so permanent if I just need a different eye size? Additional info, the doll eyes I ordered were smart doll eyes so they're more flat. So is that perhaps the problem instead of the size it's the shape? Generally I do find that the Imomodoll eye pockets are pretty finicky when it comes to size and shape 😓 Personally I dremel the eye cups off most of the time, but I can understand why you wouldn't want to. I would try either a more domed eye or maybe even a 14mm, I thought I remembered someone earlier in the thread saying that 14mm eyes fit perfectly? 1 Pixel art by @PlasticJester ! They are very finicky I feel like the darn things will almost fit and then one edge of the eye will slip out! I'll most likely dremel mine out as well, I just didn't want to be the first one to try lol since I really like the eyes I already bought. Your dolls are so wonderful and expressive by the way! I'm a really big fan! Thank you again.

PlasticJester Posted March 11, 2024 My 1/6 doll arrived yesterday from my first Superbuy haul! Of course, I immediately have to start a new order to get him a wig and clothes....I picked a cream Riika, hoping to eventually get a tan Maru as well. It's actually my first 1/6, and I was pleasantly surprised that he doesn't feel too small to me! Using him to shell my very specific interpretation of a very niche character, lol

Giragira Posted March 11, 2024 Jane's Dolland updated and it looks like she has a lot more 1/6 imomodolls in stock now. I'm very tempted to get a Kira in chocolate, gosh this hobby is dangerous lol
blisseycake Posted March 12, 2024 (edited) So...you know that Imomodoll modding video that keeps going around? I tried following it for the leg mod where you make the calf "bones" shorter to fix the knee and ankle gaps, and even tried keeping my mods above the weird plastic line, but I must have cut too short, because the calves kept falling out. I ended up hot gluing the bones together to the thigh bones since I figured I'd just avoid putting the doll in poses where the calf has to swivel relative to the thigh, but the knee gap came back somehow. I ended up giving up on the knee gap and trying to hide it with a bodysuit, which I'd have put on the doll anyway. I saw in another post though that the new skeleton fixed knee swiveling, which is still a problem for me, so I ended up ordering a skeleton from Taobao -- I'm not sure if I got the old skeleton or not since I ordered an in stock doll from Dolk. If nothing else, I'll be able to give her the new skeleton's uninjured legs. (Pity though, I had the arms hot glued just right to the elbow and shoulder joints so they wouldn't swivel.) Just a warning to other people trying the mod -- don't be overambitious like I was ;w; Edited March 12, 2024 by blisseycake
Reinhardt Posted March 12, 2024 Long time lurker, first time poster dropping by to say i really appreciate the info in this thread. It’s been so so helpful and is a big reason I decided to go for an imomo as my first doll ^_^ I do have what may be a bit of a silly question >_> Can anybody tell me what the ¼ boys are made of? I could have sworn when I ordered mine back in November the page on Jane’s said he was pvc like the 75 cm lads, but I went back today to get his exact body measurements and… it definitely doesn’t say pvc anywhere on that page. I haven't been very careful with mine since I assumed he was plastic and now I'm a little worried I'm on a one way trip to stain town lol.

PVC is polyvinyl chloride, so vinyl if that's your concern, and it is prone to staining (ask Nendoroid owners) I always assumed that the softer the plastic, the more it will stain but I might be wrong Welcome btw! Thank you very much for the info! (and the welcome ^^) Totally didn't occur to me that pvc IS vinyl (and therefore not immune to stains), guess I'll be a little more careful with him going forward in that case >﹏<

I'm glad Ruby actually ended up working on the male body, I was sort of afraid it would be too chibi or something I haven't finished the inside of the mouth yet so the tongue and stuff are absent for now Oh he is DARLING, look at him! I love the colors you've got him in, they look so nice.
Giragira Posted March 22, 2024 I have been slowly working on my imomo. His eyes came in I chickend out heating him up because I was afraid it might affect the face up. BUT not to worry I ordered a tan Maru imomo today so I will adjust that head and use the first set of eyes in it lol.
Cazzie_Bliss Posted March 22, 2024 My imomodoll girl has a body at last! (I'm kinda sad I can't tilt her head to the side but otherwise, impressions are mostly good)

Noxxbunny Posted March 24, 2024 Longshot maybe, does anyone know where I might still be able to buy a Hack A head WITH the faceup? I tried to order through Spreenow because it said that option was in stock but they got back to me saying that he's not available 😢 I intend to put him on my MDD body, so I don't really want to buy the body with him, but will if I must if anyone knows a place...He's perfect for an OC of mine, so I want one very badly... 2 Current Crew: Kaito(DDH07), Kagamine Rin, Kaito V3, 9S, Ruby(Arle), Devola(2B), Anya Forger
honooko Posted March 26, 2024 (edited) So I just got my second imomo... she's a semi-white Toppi. I have to say, it might be my imagination, but my chocolate Toppa's body is much nicer quality than the semi-white. Straight out of the box, her legs are different lengths and her calf is whirling around like crazy. The only issue I've had with the chocolate body was her right leg following off (easily fixed, just pop it back in the socket.) I can't quite figure out how to fix Toppi's uneven legs. I have tried pushing from her thigh, calf, and bottom of her foot to press her higher into her skeleton, but I haven't tried to pop anything off yet. 😕 Edited March 26, 2024 by honooko

But this tutorial shows some mods that can be done to adjust the legs for a better fit. I'm not sure if it would help with your issue but give it a look and I hope it helps!
0bsequi0us Posted March 26, 2024 Toppi is 1/6 right? If so that tutorial will definitely not work, since it's for 1/4 only 😅 and even then it's a last-resort sort of mod specifically only for the first batch of Ruby bodies. (tbh I'm the one who made that tutorial and I've been considering deleting it because I fear it's so outdated it's doing more harm than good) @honooko I would suggest if possible maybe to take the leg parts apart and put them back together. When I got my second 1/4 boy body recently it had a lot of similar problems, but once I took it apart and put it back together it was just as good as my other body. Best case scenario, your doll might have just been put together a little wrong in the assembly process. The 1/6 body has the same type of skeleton in the legs as the 1/4 bodies, so it can be safely pulled apart and put back together at the ankle and knee. I just pulled mine apart to make sure, and the joints are pretty tight so they might need a little force to be completely clicked into place. 1 Pixel art by @PlasticJester ! Giragira Posted March 31, 2024 My imomodoll Maru in chocolate arrived! He's so cute and sweet. Like how some other has said this dark skinned doll seems much sturdier than my milk skinned one? The legs don't pop out. But that might be because Maru is a later model than Toppa? I love them both equally though.

I wonder if they changed the skeleton for the chocolates?
Giragira Posted March 31, 2024 Yes mines left leg pops off all the time lol but it's easy to just pop back in place. I wonder if they did change it, I know they did for the 1/4 dolls between the first and second batch.
