Poofiemus Posted February 21, 2012 "Oh!" "Hello there." "Here to see my new dress, I suppose?" "If so, I suppose you'll want to see the obligatory Balldylox-style back shot!" "But that's not all there is to this outfit." "Well, if I'm a fairy, shouldn't I be caring for plant life?" "Well, I wish you well, and send you fairy dust and magic plot filler." In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.
kymaera Posted February 21, 2012 That's way too cute! Though, I have to say that it probably doesn't quality as a "Balldylox-style" shot without the pantsu showing
PlasticFantastic Posted February 21, 2012 Her wings are so cute!!!!! I love that tiny watering can!!!! I love her wig! Is that from Leeke in the "real Carrot" colour?? Those custom eyes you had made for her really show off nicely in these photos, they're a huge improvement on her defaults. Please visit my YouTube channel for helpful DD tips, tutorials, and reviews! scripple Posted February 21, 2012 That's very cute, especially with the wings. Although I agree with kymaera that the traditional baldylox back shot is generally taken from a *much* lower angle than that. Check out my new DollFun website. baldylox Posted February 21, 2012 Hey! You didn't show me any of the pics with the WINGS earlier! you were holding out on me!! She is so ridiculously cute in this outfit! I love the little tiara, wand and wing setup.... too cute. And her outfit is really nice! You did a great job on that! As for the "Baldylox back shot" I had no idea I did that until you mentioned it. I went and looked at some posts and you're actually right... I *do* do that a lot. Odd.... It's nice to have a pose/photo style named after me tho! Thank you! As for Kymaera and Scripple.... yall are just haters. Drink too much Haterade tonight? Don't be mad 'cause I'm stackin papers yo. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
PrettyCranium Posted February 21, 2012 I just asked in the other thread for more photos! She looks great in this outfit, such a cute fairy. Nice work on the sewing.
DefectiveAngel Posted February 21, 2012 She's gorgeous!!!!! I just love all the pictures, Nanoha really looks stunning in all of them. Great posing and you did a wonderful job with the dress. I just love the colors and the added touch with the red fairy wings and tiara. Also that wig looks fantastic on her and her custom eyes look spectacular! I never realized what a beautiful DD Nanoha was until seeing yours. You really hit my weakness with those fairy wings, if you don't mind me asking where did you find them? I just love Nanoha's fairy pics so much, it would be awesome to have a little garden fairy like her. ^_^ Also I have to agree with Kymaera and Scripple, not a low enough angle to be a *Baldylox Back Shot* needs some pantsu showing. XD But I really like your version of the *BBS* Nanoha looks super sweet in it. =
Keilee Posted February 21, 2012 Beautiful! Love her hair and the wings. I really like the picture taken from the back that just shows her hair draping down her back between the wings - it's very artistic!
Nehelenia Posted February 21, 2012 Her dress is really cute but she really captured my heart with her lil crown and magic wand

And she has very nice dress. And her hair is just great It's the Real Carrot from Leeke, right? Kaoru recently got new RC wig from Leeke and I like this color a lot. Poofiemus Posted February 22, 2012 First off, a general big Thank You to all of you! ^_^ I had a lot of fun with this shoot, and think it went a long way to helping me click with Nanoha a bit more. Her wings are so cute!!!!! I love that tiny watering can!!!! The watering can was an unexpected find down at Hobby Bench. Usually the stuff they have is way too teeny for DDs (in fact, their stock is usually better suited to Figmas), but when I saw it I had to grab it. Sadly, the only marking it has is "Made in China" on the price tag, which isn't informative at all. Otherwise I'd probably be trying to track down the manufacturer to see what else they make! Hey! As for Kymaera and Scripple.... yall are just haters. Drink too much Haterade tonight? Don't be mad 'cause I'm stackin papers yo. Billy Not holding out at all! Just trying to bait you into seeing the rest. Thanks! The tiara and wand came courtesy of Animagic4U and the birthday party meet she held--they were part of the party favors along with a little camera and the Censor Cube. I hadn't thought initially I'd have much use for them, but luckily I was wrong. As for the low angle of the original BBSs as opposed to mine, I think your low angles are due to usually putting your girls on a table, while I was stuck hunkering down on the ground this whole shoot. I just asked in the other thread for more photos! She looks great in this outfit, such a cute fairy. Nice work on the sewing. Weirdly, I actually saw this comment before your other one! Oooh, spooky. Thanks though! She's gorgeous!!!!! I just love all the pictures, Nanoha really looks stunning in all of them. Great posing and you did a wonderful job with the dress. I just love the colors and the added touch with the red fairy wings and tiara. Also that wig looks fantastic on her and her custom eyes look spectacular! XD But I really like your version of the *BBS* Nanoha looks super sweet in it. =3 Wow! Thank you--making you see her differently is probably one of the best compliments I could get! I got the wings at a local wholesale fabric store of all places. And actually, while they did have wings meant for kids to wear, this particular, smaller pair is actually some kind of decorative butterfly. The body is hidden by her hair, but you can see that I curled the antenae around her neck. XD The wire "legs" are shoved into the dress and are actually what's keeping them in place. Beautiful! Love her hair and the wings. I really like the picture taken from the back that just shows her hair draping down her back between the wings - it's very artistic! Thanks! That shot was originally intended to show the more decorated side of the wings; since they're really some kind of butterfly rather than a true pair of fairy wings they're decorated more on the back than the front. Still, if doing a demonstration gets me a cool shot, who am I to complain? Okay, it's again the time when my English is too limited to say all the things i wanted to I like this session very much and Your girl looks sweet as a fairy. And she has very nice dress. And her hair is just great It's the Real Carrot from Leeke, right? Kaoru recently got new RC wig from Leeke and I like this color a lot. Yup, Real Carrot from Mitsuki's last group order. I really wish this was a permanent color instead of a limited one, because it's gorgeous on both my girls. Which I wish I had had the foresight to realize, since they're both very much warm tone people. Aww, that's such an adorable outfit~! Thanks muchly! Would you believe that two of the three fabrics in it came out of the scraps/remnants bin? Those are gorgeous photos! The colors are so beautiful, and the background is lovely! She is so adorable in that outfit! Thanks! The setting is my grandparents' backyard. I'd done a shoot with Agatha there ages ago (back with her old faceup), and got tons of compliments, so when they told me some of the flowers were blooming I figured it'd be good to shoot there again. You are so very welcome!!! I just had to let you know that the way you have your Nanoha styled really lets her true potential and beauty shine through perfectly. And thank you very much for the info on the fairy wings, I really appreciate it. I never would have guessed that was actually a butterfly. You did such a great job fixing it to her outfit and using her hair to hide the body part of the butterfly. I will have to keep an eye out for something similar. I really would love to achieve a similar look for one of my girls since I adore fairies so much.
