Hello!

Hi everyone! I used to collect BJDs about 5 years ago. I recently ordered a Tinyfox doll and I know absolutely nothing about vinyl haha I’d like to learn more. I used to do resin faceups, but obviously I’m out of practice and materials. I’m a Japanese speaker (second language) and I’m very interested to learn more about Japanese doll companies.

The dolls I own are:

Tinyfox Debby (on order)

Souldoll MSD (I forgot the sculpt name)

Marmite Sue Moonglass Angel Egg (my prized porcelain bjd that I will never part with :) she lives in a china cabinet) she’s like barbie sized?

All my other dolls I sold when I downsized, and I’m not planning to get back into the hobby other than a few budget friendly anime styled 1/6 dolls.

anyway! Hope to learn more about my tinyfox and vinyl care :) nice to meet you all

Welcome to the forums!

There is tons of good information here on vinyl dolls and plenty of of helpful people! You should be able to find any information you need here by either looking through previous threads or asking around. Lots of knowledge here!

Thanks so much! I’ve been browsing around and it doesn’t feel as intimidating getting into vinyl as I was worried about at first :) I used to be cool with waiting a year for a doll then doing the faceup and even mods myself, but I’ve wigged myself out somehow now - hoping to get over that to enjoy the hobby a bit haha I would have never bought a fullset in the past but that’s the hurdle to get over now @onion15@

Welcome! Vinyl is a very friendly material, and any mistakes/stains are very easy to fix. I really like it for that. And Tinyfox Debby is so cute! 🐧 I hope you'll post some pics of her once you get her!

Also I had never heard of a porcelain doll, I had to look that up. Way cool! :)

Thanks! Enchanted doll is the one that pulled me into the hobby. The latest I heard they sold for around $70k - I was a sweet summer child thinking I could find one somewhere under 3k haha Most porcelain dolls are in the $800 range though :) either way I think they are gorgeous.

So I got Tinyfox Debbie as sort of an impulse buy haha - the tiny fox girls are just so cute, but honestly I fell in love with the Kumako dolls soon afterwards. Soooo Debby is kind of turning into that sort of Kumako aesthetic when I get her. Ironically I’ve spent more than I planned to buying dresses and wigs and eyes - despite buying her for such a good deal with a fullset and faceup - I’m even getting an extra head and custom faceup for her. I’m hopeless lol

Hi, welcome! I love Enchanted Dolls. Unrealistic grail, but I love her Daphne and Princess and the Pea girls. ♥
