asukakanea Posted August 21, 2023 I'm sort of new to obitsu and azone, I found a second hand doll from azone a 50 nowa and I know these dolls use obitsu. there's a small crack in the arm pit frame the thing that makes her stand up. anyways I was wondering how easy it is to fix that? I know you can always replace things. My family was going to pitch in to get her for my birthday, but I just wanted to double check that it's fixable. Hmm, if it’s the internal frame it’s definitely replaceable, but it might not be so easy to do depending on which part it is. It sounds like the shoulder ring on the bust part is cracked, so it should be this piece: https://paraboxshop.jp/goods_en_jpy_2444.html I’ve never taken mine apart so I’m not sure how difficult it is to replace, but a lot of people on this forum have complained about how fiddly the neck piece is, which you will have to remove to replace the bust piece. Hopefully someone who has taken theirs apart will chime in (@chef_mai?)

Just to double-check, is it a crack in the piece that ragnamuffin linked to above? That makes the arms floppy and needs to be replaced. To do that, you need to remove the head (can be stubborn), then remove the arms (easy), then pop off the bust piece, then twist the chest skeleton piece back and forth until it pops off. Replace with the new piece and replace everything in reverse. The head can be a little difficult to get off. The degree of difficulty will vary from doll-to-doll with some being easy enough to pop off with a tug and others not coming off at all. What you never want to do is brute force it as this will cause the neck connector to detach from the head (if you're lucky) or damage the head in a worst case scenario. If you can't get it off with a tug, what you need to do is gently tug the head to expose the neck connector's cap, grasp onto that piece using your nails and gently apply small twisting motions back and forth while tugging on that piece alone, and it should eventually give way with patience. Do this on a soft surface because the head might pop off suddenly and fly.
