Amapola Posted September 3, 2023 I was finally able to get a Dollfie Dream Candy, and she arrived a few days ago, but I haven't been able to take pics until today. She's pretty. Her wig is somewhat disheveled and I think I might wash out the gel and restyle it. It's quite amazing on how she can go from elegant lady to cute dork by just mussing her hair up and a change in her pose. She's my first Dollfie Dream and my first 1/3 scale BJD, and she's huge compared to the rest of my other dolls, which are all 1/12-1/4. Here's her holding a head at a 1/6 scale and holding a 1/12 doll. She's so big compared to everyone else, especially to the 1/12 ones, which look like dolls that she can play with. One major concern is that she's very well endowed and a lot of clothes don't seem to fit her. She's wearing a dress meant for larger vintage dolls and it's a snug fit around her chest area. I still think that she probably won't fit into the other vintage dresses I have since her chest is so.....pneumatic. I wonder if she can wear the majority of 1/3 BJD clothes and I don't want to get a smaller bust. That's it of Candy for now, and she definitely holds quite the presence! I loved her the moment I took her out of the box and I was still registering that I actually have Candy in my room. I hope I can take more pictures of her. She's quite lovely.
Sarah Posted September 3, 2023 That dress really suits her even though it’s not an exact fit. I couldn’t really tell until I read further. The colors definitely look good on her. Congratulations on her arrival
MonochromaticNocturne Posted September 4, 2023 She's so pretty! I plan on her being my first DD, as well. That dress makes her look so sweet, like she's inviting you inside for tea (especially in that first pic)
Tira Posted September 6, 2023 She's very pretty! She'll probably be able to fit into most 1/3 BJD clothes without too much trouble. Volks typically lists SD13 size clothes, which is a fairly average size, as fitting DD L bust as well. The Dollfie Dream body is slimmer overall compared to most resin dolls, so if anything, clothes tend to be too loose at the waist.
Xiongmao Posted September 7, 2023 Welcome Candy. There are some good DDdy outfits around for larger girls - I just picked up another Volks Tenshi no Koromo dress set today. SD outfits can work well although beware of staining. If you like the Alice look this outfit is the Tenshi no Koromo Sugar Milk Heart set and it's not too hard to find floating around. 2 1 My Dollfie doll family 😊.
