I'm kind of glad I bought what could have been the first Frieren listed on YJA. I guess it's always a scramble to find the newly released dolls. I just hate the clickwars - I couldn't even order Anya on a regular sales day lol.

Honestly that's what I did on Saturday I just kept refreshing to see the new listing on Yahoo and when she came up I ended up getting her for 90k yen with a 10% off coupon  so I felt pretty luck to be able to get her at a good price

Haha you’re the one that got it! I saw it and paused cause my proxy hadn’t notified me if she got it. I saw it sold when I decided to just buy it so I bought the next one listed

There were two when I looked - there are a few more now but I'm not sure what prices they're going for. There was one with a 160,000 buyout price 🥵. I don't know if you can see sold prices like you can on eBay.

I see DDS Frierens there selling at 108K three days ago, and 138K-145K today (YJA). You can see sold items by clicking the link in the upper right corner that reads 「フリーレン ボークス」の 落札相場を調べる after having done a search for current items first, similar to eBay. You might try a few different initial search terms and see which yields you the lowest sales prices.

Because supply is low with only Dolpa attendees having gotten the Frieren doll so far, pricing will be high. Alongside the online clickwar there is also an in-person after event at all Volks physical stores, after which additional supply will be available (either firsthand buying direct or second hand from people who went to the stores). There's also the possibility of a VolksUSA release if you live in the applicable countries; no such announcement has been made as far as I know, but anticipated USA pricing would be equivalent to 125K yen today if Volks follows their 100y default price conversion rate, as another point of comparison when source shopping.

I also booked her from a proxy but knowing spanish custom office delays, mine surely won’t make through xmas. EMS shipping quote was painful too.

My Frieren and Miku NT have reached Paris CDG. They should hopefully arrive Monday. There's also a small chance of them arriving tomorrow if they're making extra Christmas deliveries.

I'm always fearful I bought a couple of boxes full of stones but the Buyee package weights seemed legit.

New Frieren episode tonight, and it's currently the #1 anime on MyAnimeList.

To all the people lamenting the lack of Frieren's suitcase:

At several doll conventions, I've seen this shop who sells incredibly detailed suitcases for dolls. They're called "Uraniwa Koubou C-Rank".

Even down to Obitsu 11 size.

Frieren arrived today.

I'm glad I acquired her. There currently seems to be only one available on YJA.

I was really happy to find her earrings were already attached to her ears. Incidentally her ears slot into her head and are held in place with magnets. Unlike the other elf DD she doesn't have regular ears.

She doesn't really look like any of the other tribe in our house of dolls.

I don't know if there are any other DD who come with so many clothes. She has an alternative dress and also a coat and scarf. If it snows here I'll put her in her coat set.

All she needs now is a suitcase and a load of grimoires to read.

At some point we'll celebrate her arrival with a 1 Kg 🍔.

Be sure to let us know if those leggings stain.

I may be wrong but I don't think they will. She's wearing a bodysuit anyway. Luckily I've been hoarding them and had a semi-white one ready to go.

We're watching Frieren from the start. Mostly because I need to know when/where she wears her alternative dress. A lot happens in episode 1. Like 6 minutes in and 50 years have flown by. One minute you have 1 Dollfie and then you have 25 of them.

Towa's trying to cast a spell that will prevent Frieren's left ear falling off. I'm not optimistic.

I think I put Frieren's belt on upside down. I also need to work on the staff's ribbon and watch some YouTubes on how to make miniature suitcases and grimoires.

Congratulations! She is very cute and her face sculpt is quite unique. Looking forward to seeing more pictures of her especially in her alternate outfit ❤

Frieren No Greenscreen... she was the first to test our enormous green screen background bought on Amazon.

This doll is just so breathtakingly gorgeous (in case anyone is still sitting on the fence).

I've started watching the show again. I've still not seen her wearing the other dress Volks made for her. If it snows here I'll dress her up in her coat and scarf.

I don't know if any Frierens have sold as auctions. I follow Lego on UK eBay and the auctions usually go for way less than the buy it now prices. On the other hand American Girl/Our Generation stuff is really popular and I've failed to win any auctions for stuff that would be useful for DD.

I'm rewatching the anime to try and figure out her outfits. I think she wears a black poloneck something beneath her dress. I don't know why Volks didn't give her this whatever it is, but I guess staining could have been an issue.

I still haven't seen her wearing the more formal dress that she came with. Maybe it hasn't yet appeared in the anime.

If it snows here I'll dress her up in her coat and scarf. I don't think I'll take her outside as it would be the worst thing ever if I lost her ears!!!

I've just seen there's a Nendoroid Frieren coming in summer 2024 and she comes with a suitcase. Fern also has an awesome pouting face.

As for Frieren's scult - I wonder if future elves will have this new type of elf ear rather than the slip on ears like Kirika and Asuna have?

It seems like Frieren's outfit might be a simple collar based on what I've seen reading the manga !! So you can add it yourself if you have some black fabric that doesn’t stain. 

Regarding the elf ears, what's the difference between the new type and the old slip-on ears like Kirika and Asuna have? I never had one of those dolls and I’m not getting Frieren because I’m making my custom one 🤭

She just arrived today and I have to say she's absolutely gorgeous really happy to add her to my collection

Frieren's head has no ears - just slots where her ears fit into. She comes with super strong magnets that fit into her head and hold the ears (not very well) into place. Also her earings come already attached to her ears, so there's none of the fitting hassle that comes with Kirika or Yor Forger.

Kirika and Asuna (and the Dream Choice elfs) have regular ears that you can slip the elf ears over. Asuna Titania also has detachable ear armour.

If you're making Frieren then be sure to make her a Fern too because honestly she's lost and helpless without mommy Fern.
