Identifying a head? (Azone? Obitsu?)

I'm wondering if anyone here might be able to recognize this head? The eyes are custom painted according to the seller but the hair was already rooted like this? Probably cut though (Not asking about the body, I replaced it with a legit Obitsu 27 now!) 

It's pretty big compared to Azone Pure Neemo/HAF and even seems oversized on a Obitsu 27 body 

I know there are these "custom hair heads" Azone offered, is it maybe one of these?

Does the head have any markings on the back? If it’s a newer head, then based on the hair colour and shape, it might be Pretty Cure doll head. I have a hoard of 1/6 doll magazines/moons from the late late 90s to early 00s, so if it’s an old head I could try and look for her to see if she was a character once.

Sorry for the late answer! Sadly there's no marking at all on the head

Azone does have blank rooted heads and eye decals that look similar to your doll’s, but not in that particular shade of purple and not that particular nose/mouth combination.

It’s possible they used to offer heads with these features and discontinued them, but it looks more like an anime character doll, similar to @Tasuke’s 1/5 size Mamotte Shugogetten doll, which would explain the oversized head.

If it really is from the 90s, it could be from a toy company that doesn’t even exist anymore.

I don't know from when the head is, I bought it 2nd hand together with 2 Saber... The seller reacted a bit annoyed even when I tried to follow up on the head

Just checked messages again, the seller only told me that "the hair is original and the eyes are painted with high quality colors" but nothing more 

Although the body was a fake one (at least seemed very likely to be one), so I'm a bit worried the head might be too

That’s likely the case if the head and body originally came together, but since the eyes were hand-painted, it’s possible they came from two different sources.

However, Japanese dolls usually have some sort of marking on the back of the head, which doesn’t seem to be the case here, so it’s hard to tell. It looks Japanese, but it could be from China or Korea.

Speaking Of; i'm going to be trying the 2022 Worldbox AT201 body for my Shugogetten Shaorin,

as her head indeed looks bulbous on my favored OBITSU 26 body...

and i pray she'll look at least passably proportionate on the AT201 that i hope to have in hand within a week or so.

if the Worldbox works out for Shao as well as i hope... perhaps it just might also be just what the OP is looking for, for their girl?
