Missed pre order payment deadline?

I bought my first dollfies from VOLKS JP store earlier this year and they're going to be released the 28th this month, however I didn't check my emails and account until today. The payment deadline for my orders was on the 22nd so I think I missed it but I already paid half for all the items. Can I still pay it? My order doesn't show that it's cancelled yet? What should I do I'm really stressed out about this.

If the big red "pay for your order" button is still shown on your account front page (What showed up for me with my Snow miku outfit, that I did not get a payment request email for), I would assume you can still complete it.

if thats not there, I would contact customer service for an extension especially if it was a half paid thing.

I would definitely contact them, admit the error, and offer immediate payment if they will still allow it. In my experience Volks isn't unreasonable, but keep in mind once the deadline passes they are within their rights to cancel the orders and not give a refund. 

Above all,  I would be polite, honest, and apologetic. If they accommodate you, it's an inconvenience to them, and my experience in Japan is that courtesy goes a long way when asking for something. 

I ended up contacting them and they allowed me to pay! Thank you so much! I'm a bit worried due to where they say that they will cancel an order if your credit card has a different name than the address though... My payments back then and now went through perfectly but do you think they might still cancel the order later?

They don't want you using someone else's card, nor will they ship to someone else's address. As long as the payments were on your credit card(s), and the boxes are shipping to your residence, you should be fine.

Oh but I originally used a card under a different name than the delivery recipient should I tell them this and have them change the address name? I didn't read back then and since the payment had gone through I assumed it was fine and that if they would cancel it that the payment would have declined back then...

I think there is an address change process. You update your address on their form, then contact them to update the order. 

Bottom line: Your account name, credit card name, recipient name all need to line up. You cannot change your account name. Volks deals with a lot of scamming from scalpers, so they have to be a bit anal about that kind of thing. 

If you paid via PayPal, I don't think they even see the cardholder info, but it still has to be paid by you and shipped to you.

So if only my account and recipient name line up does that mean I lose the order? It already took the money out of my account so I don't understand will it refund and cancel or is there still a chance it will go through? Can I email them about this mistake and hopefully have it still go through?

I don't know, if they review the order and think someone else is buying, that might be an issue. The order acceptance would be electronic processing, but a review would be likely done by a live human being. 

I think it's better to be upfront and ask politely. They aren't unreasonable, they just want to protect their business and customers from scalpers who buy the dolls and then sell them for huge markups. At the same time, they can reasonably expect that people will read and understand their terms before buying.

Thank you for the advice! I sent them an email explaining everything and I hope it all goes through well! Sorry for also bothering this forum for this issue too. This is my first time still buying from here and it was supposed to be a present from my boyfriend hence why the cardname is different compared to everything else! It was really dumb of me to just think that things would go through like they do in the US 😧

Their business model is a bit different. It's not uncommon for Japanese companies to produce below demand and then sell by lottery. That drives up aftermarket prices and attracts anti-social types, so they put safeguards in place. Fraud in general is up too, so they have to be wary of that.
