Jessica - Glamming It Up For Gaming With Galaga

Here's my Iplehouse EID Jessica glamming it up for gaming with Galaga!!! This is using a doll chair and table that I don't know anything about with a My Arcade Micro Player Pro miniature arcade cabinet version of the Namco gaming classic Galaga. While this arcade cabinet won't really work as a 1/3 scale proper arcade cabinet, I think it works decently as an Arcade1Up Countercade mini cabinet. In case you're not familiar with the Countercade units from Arcade1Up, they are human sized home-oriented arcade cabinets that are a bit smaller than authentic arcade cabinets. Arcade1Up actually makes many different types of small arcade cabinets for home use, but their Countercade units are designed to sit on the counter or on a table. This is what I'm going for in these photos, and I think the effect works pretty well. I actually have a whole lot to say about it in the description of these photos which I didn't post here, including information about where to find your own: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjB11Dd

Jessica here is playing Galaga and having a good time. She is even putting quarters into the machine! Well, it has a special button to virtually insert quarters, but it's still fun! To help with the illusion, I clipped off the "tear me off" portion of the sticker on the screen. I left the sticker on the screen so I wouldn't have problems with the screen being brighter than everything else in the photo, so Jessica here can look like she's playing Galaga even though I never actually turned the My Arcade unit on. I really like how the controls fit in her hand! I saw a deluxe version of Street Fighter 2 that has buttons that are quite large, but the fire button on this Galaga unit is a decent size with respect to scale. (There is a non-deluxe version of Street Fighter 2 that appears to have smaller buttons, so I might check that one out in the future.) Galaga's joystick is a decent size, too. I could've remembered to peel off the battery sticker, but it's not such a big flub! I made the last photo a straight line shot of Jessica playing the cabinet with the cabinet in sight. It gives perspective to the sizes of everything.
