dilfslayer Posted October 28, 2023 what would be the safest way to wrap my dolls up for storage without damaging/staining them ? I assume bubble wrap is involved
Jezrah Posted October 28, 2023 I would recommend wrapping them in clean white cloth or clean white tissue paper first. That way there's a non staining layer between them and the plastic of the bubble wrap. You never know if there might be something invisible on the bubble wrap that could end up staining. Also, I wouldn't want the plastic to be directly touching the faceup in case of rubbing.
mamiyaotaru Posted October 29, 2023 Get a face mask to cover the head as well. So the cloth doesnt touch the makeup too
GlassWisteria Posted October 30, 2023 I would also recommend putting silica gels into the box where your doll will be stored, especially if you plan on leaving it in storage for awhile and you live somewhere with high humidity.

Ah yes, good point. To that end I would also personally not put the plastic sleeve that comes with the doll over it for long term storage. The vinyl could off gas over time but have nowhere to escape. It would be better if it could breathe. There was a thread about mysterious staining around the eyes on Azones on here somewhere, and it was determined that long term storage without ventilation was the culprit.
