Some eye changes for Odette and Amber

This seemed like the best place to put this post. Last night I decided it was time to try something new in a few of my girls' heads - since Amber and Odette had been wearing the same style in different colours I thought it'd be fun to make them my victims!

 

After a good hour of holding eyes in place and trying to pick and bothering my other half to get his opinion this was the end result. Wanted to know what you guys thought! (Don't mind my 'after' pics quality... I snapped them quickly with my blackberry before bed!) I'll try to get nicer photos of the 'after' later today.. Comparing the image quality/lighting it's painful! >_<

I'll be honest with you here because these two girls are faves of mine from your group. The changes to Odettes eyes look excellent. I love the new ones as they seem brighter and more pronounced. Plus, I love blue!

 

Now Amber, I prefer her first set of eyes way more than the newer ones. To me, the new eyes don't show as much character as her first ones... maybe they seem more "generic" for lack of a better term. She still looks nice with the new eyes, I just think the first ones you used on her were way nicer looking and more her style.

 

But this is all just my opinion. They're your girls and should look like you want them to look.

I agree I'm very happy with how Odette's eyes look, I'm still not 100% sure on Amber's so I'll probably change them again or put them back as they were. I'm going to do some photos with these new ones and see how it goes. I know that sometimes it just takes some getting used to but other times it's because they just aren't quite right.

Odette new eyes look better imho, but Amber looks better on the first photo.

Maybe it's the flash, but with dark wig darker eyes work better, I think.

So I un-lazied and took some better photos.

 

 

I love Elle's new eyes, but I'm not sold on those for Amber (although the "unlazy" picture of her is SO cute!!)

At first, I wasn't sure how I felt about Amber's eyes either, but in the new photo I'm totally digging them! She seems more, I don't know, intelligent somehow. Like she's being friendly and affable, but at the same time is calculating something, and she's not going to tell you what, whether it's good for you or bad. I guess it gives her just a little bit more mystery. Though I do think they'd pop more if paired with a different wig that contrasted them more.

 

Odette's I love the color and the texture. They just seem to be a little large for my taste; with circular or nearly circular irises I tend to prefer them a little smaller to see more white. Then again, I was at one point seriously considering putting 20mms into Nanoha's giant eyeholes, so I'm probably in the minority on that one.

Ooh, I like them both! And I really like Amber's brown eyes in the second photo. I think they're well suited for a 'sweet' or 'gentle' look, and that goes well with the same haircolor as the eyes. They could be really cute with a light color wig too :3

They both look lovely! Odette's new eyes are just stunning, and Amber's only looked so-so in the first shot but the second looks fantastic, brings out a softer side. She has a very "bookish" look to me and I think the eyes fit that well (plus they look great with her wig!).

In general I'm quite fond of oval shaped eyes over round ones, but I enjoyed how they worked on Odette's head. Generally I like some white in the eyes but not TOO much...

I like how closely her wig and eyes match, some of my girls have a lot of contrast, but I don't feel like she really needs any with that face.
