Recreating DD Y'shtola's ears with fur/wire?

How plausible would it be to recreate Y'shtola's ears in fur, as opposed to her set's solid ones?

I don't have DD Y'shtola but I'm thinking of making a difference character from the same game who also has the same style of ears.

I'd much prefer fur ears that can be sewn into a wig and posed with inner wire. Do you think this is possible at this scale? My doll would be 1/3 like Y'shtola is.

Regardless of whether I make them myself or commission an artist, I'd like them to be as close to DD Y'shtola's ears in shape, size, and style as possible. I don't want them to be any larger or chunkier than the ones she has, as I quite like how Volks has scaled them.

I don't know how feasible that is for fur/fabric, and I'm guessing there must be a reason they made her DD set ears solid pieces instead of fur or fabric.

What do you guys think?

Would I be better off buying her set's solid ears and painting them to match my character instead?
