First of all, no villain worth her salt would ever kill a hostage while she's monologuing. It's just rude.

 

Second of all, it would have been rude of me to interrupt her during said monologue as well. That would have been like her breaking up my transformation scene. It's just not done.

 

Finally, have you ever tried to rig up dramatic lighting without alerting villains to your presence? It's rough! I had my hands full!

So, long story short, I kicked her monkey ass until she repented of all her sins.

 

 

Then, Saber was like "Oh my god! You're the bestest big sister ever, Zoe! Thank you for saving me!"

 

 

And I went "It's all in a day's work for a true hero who is just protecting her sister."

 

Are you sure that's exactly how everything happened at that point?

 

Well, more or less. There might have been a few differences. Morgaine had just cast a quick spell to flip the lights back on and ruin my dramatic lighting, then she said...

 

 

Zoe! I thought I had rid myself of your nuisance.

 

Zoe! Is everyone...

 

Silencius imperious! That spell should keep you quiet, Art. Let big sister deal with this pest.

 

 

Now, why didn't you have the good sense to just stay away?

You might have made me doubt Aya, but you could never get me not to trust Saber! You overplayed your hand, dumbass! I've NEVER trusted you a bit! As soon as I made sure the pervert was safe, I sneaked back in here.

That was awesome! I had to laugh at the puppets. Who does she think she's reporting to, the Almighty Tallest? Still, that was a VERY good solution when Plan A didn't work well, and actually after all the stuff poor Saber's been through seeing her in full gear again is really satisfying.

 

Still, I have a suspicion M's going to stick around somehow, so I'll definitely have to come back for Part 9 to see how she manages it.

Thanks all. The puppets were a late addition to the story. I just decided when I was working on Pt 7 to throw that in. Zoe is actually a very good ventriloquist. I haven't seen her lips move once.

I love the puppets too! The omake photo is hilarious! That outfit is awesome!

Ok, I finally had a chance to read though this story. While I'll admit the beginning was a bit slow and at times confusing for me the last few parts have been excellent! Nice story twists, excellent outfits, great witty dialogue, just all around win. I look forward to the next part.

Thanks, scripple. It's the culmination of stuff that's been building up in my stories for the past couple of years, so unfortunately, it's not the easiest thing to get into if you haven't been reading all the relevant parts. If all goes as planned, part 9 will be done soon.
