Wonderously_Strange Posted January 20, 2024 I first discovered Smart Doll when I was around eleven or twelve, but my mother balked at the idea of spending what was at the time roughly $600 USD on a doll, haha. Now, I'm eighteen, and just got my first full paycheck yesterday, and finally bit the bullet and ordered miss Mirai Suenaga! I'm so excited to meet her. I got the confirmation email and the questionnaire email, and am just waiting for a response now! While I wait for Mirai, I'd love to hear, what are you guys' favorite things to do when you get a new guy or gal?
Rajke Posted January 23, 2024 Congrats on getting your first Smart Doll girl. (She probably demands a sister in the future, beware of that) Don’t forget to post photo’s, we do like doll photo’s. The first thing to do is making a photo of her in the bag. I did that with three of my four Smart doll girls (after I put on their wig, no girl likes to be bald on the photo). Second thing I do is dressing them. Most of my girls don’t like the cold. Greetz, Rajke
meteorite Posted January 24, 2024 I'm a new doll owner too! Welcome to the dolly club! Before a doll arrives I usually find sewing patterns to make clothes for them and spend ages looking at baby naming sites, trying to come up with a name. I had chosen Noémie for my Mirai but on arrival it was clear she found that WAY too stuffy. She likes Anzu more and her usual nickname is Ann. Oh, for sure! Pear Legion and a sweet Dollfie Dream Choice guy have caught my eye... something tells me this will be a slippery slope, and that I'll have to hide my debit card from Mirai. I'll totally have to do the iconic bag photo! I'll definitely share some photos here. I'm planning to try my hand out at making some outfits using the free patterns. I'm not very good at sewing, but you can't improve if you don't try, right? I'm quite impressed, Mirai only shipped out from Tokyo, Japan yesterday, and she's already only an hour away, and set to arrive tomorrow!

Anzu is such a sweet name, and it suits Mirai so well! Do you have any photos of your Ann?

I wasn't intending for her to cosplay Mikuru but I couldn't ignore the similarities in their outfits haha! Ann-chan uses the Freedom head rather than Mirai's default though, so no big eyes. All of it is sewn by myself... you can't tell in this photo but the top is too small to close in the back because I scaled the pattern wrong... and this was my first time sewing ribbon trims haha. 4 Moved on to resin BJD Favourite DD: Sakuno Uryuu
