PlasticJester Posted September 21, 2024 Hi everyone, it's been a bit! I haven't had almost anything to customize and my work started back up, so I've mostly been focused on getting clothes and maintenance items for my dolls. But I did customize another nendoll!! Another Be More Chill one, technically, but this time it's my oc for the play hehe. Here's the initial concepts for SQUISH. He's a kind of goth-y yet cheerful 14 year old boy, so I wanted to give him a very open and cute expression. My girlfriend and I decided to tinker with the mouth a little, and we got this: Much cuter! She also added a little more depth to the blushing and mouth. The body he has is a Piccodo 20, which gives him a nice height difference compared to SQUIP, who is meant to be his older brother. SQUIP is on a YMY 23. Funnily, they have hair from the same nendoroid! Here's him before assembly, I'm really happy with how the undyed roots of his hair turned out, as well as his mouth! All put together! Well, kind of...I ordered blue eyes for him, but was given yellow. So now he's waiting on a proper pair of eyes. But until then, I think he looks super cute!! I even painted his tiny nails to match his vibe! I think him and SQUIP have a great contrast together. Soon, I'll show off Compass' new outfit, as well as a new edition to my doll family! PlasticJester Posted November 26, 2024 Hey there! It's been a while, huh? I've actually done a TON of faceups recently, but I've been trying something new, so I don't have any WIP photos. Instead...I have a video! It's very amateur and I'm aware of a few issues with it (it moves pretty fast and I don't talk enough, plus my lighting is jank), but I'm still pretty happy with it! So here's the video for my Imomodoll Chami, Yotsuba! If you don't want to watch the video, here's the mockup... And here's the finished face! Sorry for my Mandrake/Dollyteria-style photo, haha. I've actually done a TON of faceups recently (I've finished season 2 of my faceups and moved on to season 3!), but I was trying to wait until I edited and posted the faceup videos of some of the dolls before posting them here. But I'm realizing that editing is something I keep putting off, so I might give yall previews of dolls here anyways. Hopefully you'll still find the process interesting! Instead I'm going to use the reaction system a little weirdly for this post to decide which of my recent faceups I will show you guys first. Her right (our left) eye socket has been carved out slightly to give it that sunken in look. Honestly really happy with this faceup, aside from the initial coats of paint for the skintone it was quick and easy! Might put her up for sale along with her custom spiral eye if anyone would want her...? But I'm not sure yet. Next is another reaction poll for who you wanna see next!
