Wig Styling Advice for Doll Cosplay

I've decided that I'm going to try and make a Pearl Fey costume for my Mini Dollfie Dream, and while I've figured out what I can do about her clothing and shoes, there's one thing I need to figure out: her wig. I'm thinking about getting a short pixie cut wig and styling the bangs, but I do not know how to do her hair loops in the back. Anyone have any advice on what might work?

I style a doll wig on same logic as my hair so - braid some floral wire (or any thin wire wrapped in some felt really. something for the hair to cling to) and bend as loops. For bonus staying power, can carefully brush plain white glue over it, to really bond the hair together  (this is how been doing Saber's ahoge since day one)

The loops can then be either sewn on (Mari's "braided headband" is like that), or attach with mini clawclip (every bun and ponytail attachment on wig ever)
