Blending in with another Hello!

Hi! I’m Azurluna. I don’t exactly know what to say here, but I’ve got my first Dollfie Dream due to arrive soon and I’m excited to have her! So I thought I would join the community of people here. I’ve never had a doll before, but I’m into building model kit figures and when I discovered there were cute anime style dolls, I just had to have one! I’d eventually like to learn how to sew doll clothes too.

Anyway, that’s enough from me. Nice to meet you all!

I got the DDS Karin. Loved her eyes and hair, I knew she was the one I had to have as soon as I saw her! Still trying to think of a name for her though. I’ll be sure to post some pictures when she arrives!

I got her yesterday! Was so busy playing around with her that I didn't have time to post here lol. But here's some pictures! I'm no photographer though, just used my iPhone 8 and sun went down so I had to make do with lighting for the last few pics.

Still trying to decide her name! She looks like a Millie to me, but I already have a cat named Millie. So I'm thinking of calling her Millicent, or Charlotte.

I can't edit since I'm still a new member, but I've decided her name is Millicent. Long form of Millie 😛 .

Your doll is so lovely! I’ve always loved DD Karin’s look, she seems like such a sweetheart. And looks so freakin’ cute in those sneakers. Really love the name Millicent, it’s unique but not strange (unlike my poor Stoli, who is a DD Y’shtola who got stuck with the silly nickname I kept calling her hahah).

Can very much relate to being too busy playing to actually take photos of said new doll, haha.

Millie is super duper cute and I love the outfit you put on her!! I definitely love her bright orange hair paired with her green eyes, it really makes them pop out! 

Do you have any thoughts on possibly getting another doll sometime in the future?

Millicent looks so pretty, congratulations! Her hair is just divine and soft looking. 

 

You said you were considering sewing some clothes, have you got any styles in mind?

Thanks! I certainly would consider getting Millicent a sister in the future, but it's not on the table for the time being. Dolls aren't cheap after all!

I love how long and pretty her hair is 😁 . As far as sewing goes, I'd love to make her some long skirts and dresses, though I might have to start with basics first since my sewing experience is pretty minimal.

I hope you do it, sewing is a handy and fun hobby. There are a few beginner sewing patterns for dollfie dreams around, and if a sewing machine seems daunting hand sewing is very relaxing. I'm a fool for cute doll clothes, sorry for the ramble lol.
