Azone - Iris Collect (Petit)

Hello everyone, 

 

I just began falling into the Azone rabbit hole and have several already on the way. Is there a website or somewhere I can find all the Iris Collect and Petit dolls? Not to buy, but just to see all the current and past models.

I'm not sure where else to put this, so I'm gonna put it here! I have become obsessed with looking at Iris Collect Petits lately, and want one soooo bad. Probably Honono or a Uyuri...or Urara or Fururu.....
But anyways, I like how they're similar to my MDDs in size, and also wanna buy some Azone clothes for all my gals too! Is there an easy-ish way to browse Azone clothes so I can link to my proxy?

Oh Uyuri is adorable, I highly recommend her!!

Also, I don't know if this will help, but Hobbysearch is the place that always seems to have the most outfits in stock to buy directly, I've bought all of my Iris Collect clothes from there or Dollyteria. If you'd prefer buying through proxy though, maybe you could use Azonet? I think you need an account to login and view the prices/availability of the items though, and I don't know if a proxy would be able to do that.

This should be most of the stuff that fits the 45cm body. You might have to wade through a few unrelated items that the search engine picked up, but this was the easiest way to narrow down the selection with Azone’s crappy search function.

Hobby Search probably has the biggest selection of Azone stuff that you can order from outside Japan. They used to have a lot of stuff that was sold out everywhere else, but don’t seem to keep much stock nowadays.

Suruga-ya has a decent collection of Azone clothing. Not everything, but they get older stuff that's become harder to find, and the new stuff is priced cheaper than elsewhere.

Iris Petits are closer to DDP, just a few cm shorter. Any MDD clothes sized for DDP should fit just fine.

I'm the local DDP fan! Even better!!

The Iris Petits are on the 45cm body, which is closer to MDD (43.5cm). DDP (50cm) is closer to the 48cm and 50cm Obitsu bodies, although the proportions are a bit different so clothing sits a bit different too.

Despite being labelled 45cm by Azone, the Iris Petits are actually 47cm. Going by measurements on Volks site, DDP and the AZT8 body share torso measurements aside from waist (AZT8 is 5mm larger) and torso length (DDP is 8mm longer). Which is why I say they're fairly close.

Leave it to an Obitsu body to have confusing sizing!

I bought a 45cm Azone dress for my MDD, it fits very well but it's a tiny bit loose. Incredible quality as well, highly recommend

Interesting. I was going by this pic:

But it seems you’re correct that the AZT8-45 is bigger than 45cm according to this site which has pics comparing the body to the MDD. Would have been nice if they’d included DDP as part of the comparison.

In terms of clothing fit, it turns out to be pretty confusing in practice.

The DDP has a nominally longer torso (16 vs 15 cm), but the upper half of the torso (shoulder to waist) is considerably shorter than on Obitsus, and this affects how Azone clothes fit on DDP. 

Conversely, some MDD clothes on Obitsu/Azone/AP can feel weird because the waist is assumed to be higher up. It's a different kind of short than if the overall garment were too short and is particularly noticeable on one-piece garments like dresses.

Some of the other proportions are also different between DDP and Azone dolls. I tried some AZO2 high socks on a DDP, and found they were much tighter on there than on a Azone 50 cm body. I've been buying Azone shoes for my MDDs and DDPs (because Volks shoes are expensive and they use p-leather too much), and the fit is hit or miss. Azone feet are longer, but less high at the ankle. Some shoes that are oversized for MDD fit DDP almost perfectly.
