What's your favourite paint?

What are your favourite paints for faceups? I pretty much hate my current acrylic paints, they are way too thick even with thinner ans difficult to get even lines, but then they seem to be also badly pigmented. I'm looking at some modeling paints but I have no idea which ones are good! I'm looking at modeling paints, but there's a lot of different ones confusing me. I've heard vallejo and tamiya are good at least?

Vallejo is my top favourite! Never had any problems at all with them, and the selection of colors is huge.

Plus for me it's very low cost, because they do also have a Germany-based store, so I always get my colors quick and easy.

I just have an Arteza set I bought off Amazon because it had a lot of color options, plus it can easily be thinned with just water. Gouache paint probably would be more up your alley though.

Vallejo 1st, Tamiya 2nd.
Vallejo has just been wonderful to work with. Never any issues. Small issues with Tamiya. Both will work, obviously it is whatever you can get your hands on. Some hobby stores for wargaming/tabletop gaming carry Vallejo, if you want to check locally.

My "local" (at least in the same country) shop actually just restocked Mr. Super Clear UV cut Flat, and they seem to carry a lot of paints, so wanted to ask around a bit before ordering. Seems like vallejo would be the best! There's one actually local shop selling tabletop gaming paints that might carry it too.

But since I'm ordering anyway from the only place carrying the MSC I just might order all the things at once.

I guess Vallejo Game Color is nice? I've seen it used in Dollnuma ch. faceup video, though the packaging is different here (or has changed).

Gouache paint sounds interesting as well! Might try that sometime! Arteza sadly doesn't seem to be available in my country, or I might have to look around in physical art stores, but I'd probably do that anyway if I bought gouache, much nicer to see the shades in person.
