Silicon body replacements.

Hi all,

Wanted some views on silicon parts as i do not have experience in this. The only one i have is a Obitsu L bust from Imoneko. Very nice item which i tried on one of my doll bodies but it just seems strange...

It also feels sticky and i powder it often. But after awhile i swapped back to Vinyl.

Can I have some views and advice on this and how its generally handled? I dont see the application.. Is it just so its seamless?

I own both the Obitsu M and L bust as well as a MDD torso from them.

It seems strange? I find the L bust to be hit and miss with how it fits clothes because of the way it's sculpted. The M bust is a lot easier to work with.

I haven't been bugged much about stickiness since my girls are always clothed, but the general procedure is to rinse, wipe dry and apply powder and shake it off. You'll also want to protect the internal skeleton parts that are in contact with silicone since they'll dissolve over time. Even short-term, you'll find that they feel a little greasy from the oil leaking out of the silicone.

I think its because there is one part squishy and the rest semi hard that it feels strange for me haha.

Have any torn or started breaking down after some time? I seen a lot of full silicon dolls being sold on yahoo either with tears or missing fingers.

No tears, but I'm careful with my stuff. I could see the neck tearing if one were careless about removing the head, but a little common sense goes a long way.
