How to "shojo-atize" your daughter?

So the other day I started watching Baka and Test (which I adore) and I was like "Aren't they the cutest shojo girls on the planet? :3" Then I walked into my room and saw Hakumei. It was aaalmost a showdown between us. -__O but I decided not to hurt her feelings. On the inside I was screaming "YOU'RE NOT SHOJO ENOUGH!"

 

So. How do I fix her?

 

I already decided a new face-up is in order. I'm counting down the hours till the store opens so I can buy paint remover/sealant.

 

Does she need a new outfit? What could I put her in to look younger?

 

I'm gonna get her some Twin-Snow eyes.

 

Overall, how do I make a 02 head look absolutely shojo?

A new face up is a must! Just like with real people's makeup, color choices matter.

 

Use a rosy pink blush high on her cheeks, and try to copy eyelash styles from popular shoujo series, like Utena and Sailor Moon.

 

I wouldn't use much pigment on her eyes or lips, and what you do use should be a spring-type color.

Also, don't forget the placement of her brows and smile! The angle of the brow can change a face entirely.

 

Oh, and the angle of the eyes (tsurime versus tareme) matters too. Tsurime, or upward angled eyes, indicate a tougher and more brash personality that tareme, or drooping eyes.

 

Tareme are used for more Moe characters, like Mikuru (Suzumiya Haruhi series) or Madoka (Puella Magi Madoka Magica.) Tsurime are used for characters like Kagami (Lucky Star) or Kyouko (also Puella Magi Madoka Magica.)

 

You'll probably want to give her cute clothes, like a frilled dress or a school uniform, and a super cute hairstyle like twintails or a ponytail. Straight hair can also work, just make sure she has cute bangs!

I think, the Volks Event Head 02 is a good example - light faceup, not very heavy lashes, light pink lips.

 

Ahh I'll post pics when I can get on the computer! The thing is that she has a face-up that's not anime at all. AT ALL.

Ebay? Doubt it. Maybe second-hand. Afaik Momo doesn't speak English.

Don't forget the white summer dress and sun hat "drill hair" will give her that princess/ojousama look. Hime cut is good for a more japanese style shoujo girl. Longer hair is more romantic/feminine.

If for an older girl elegant casual dresses and shoes. If for a younger girl, hair clips frilly skirts, lots of pastel and pink tones.
