Xenosaga: Kos-Mos or Shion?

I want to make a dollfie dream into either Kos-Mos or Shion from xenosaga but I'm having trouble deciding on which one I should do.

 

Would anyone have any ideas? What materials to buy? Also, what quality fabric would be best to use?

 

My ideas: So far, I've brainstormed below,

 

Since, Shion and KosMos have almost the same body type.

 

Kos-Mos/Shion:( DDII normal skin/medium bust/DDH-03/eyes ?)

 

Anyone want to add some ideas?

 

This is a future project but I would like to know so I can get things ready.

Me too! Kos-Mos is so cool! Shion is very cute too. I thought about getting some resin materials to make the accessories. Just thought maybe I would get some more ideas. It's a future project though.

I've been sitting on a secret project for over a year now - my sister, hubby and I have been working on a custom DD KOS-MOS.

 

She's almost done, and will hopefully be revealed in the next week or so, but I wanted to share her progress so far.

 

I've broken it down into 2 blog entries (so far) -

 

Part 1: Preamble, Head, Faceup/ Wig

Part 2: Headpiece, Boots, Armour (still work in progress)

Part 3 will be weapon and bodysuit, but I'll post about these in a few days ^^

Simply based on character artwork and figures and such, KOS-MOS v.4 (Ep. III) should really be a Dy body, previous versions would fit as M bust just fine though.

 

As for the idea of a Shion, which Ep. version were you thinking? Personally, I'd go with Ep. I Shion, since I'm not very fond of how they got rid of her glasses and basically changed the entire character up.

I think that the location of the bust seam on the Episode III outfit (v.4) works better with the DDII base body since the “peephole” under her bust would have been right onto a seam/ joint on the DDdy and to me that would have been unattractive.

 

This was one of the main reasons I went with a DD3 body for my project. Also, the DDdy wouldn't have been able to bear the weight of a big weapon, although the new DDdy might be able to. Since Haruka is the only DDdy3 at the moment, that body is a bit hard to come by right now.
