Who is on your want list?

I'd love to have some of the limited ones based on games, but I don't think that'll happen haha! I think I'll just be happy with the one, I've been looking a long time for the perfect faceup, and I found it!

Like they say, "You can't always get everything you want.". But I can still keep wanting, right?

I'm not going after anyone on my list until the Best Selection Poll results are out. I just know that, with my luck, I would buy Nanami or Akira, only for there to be a Sasara re-release not long after.

I think he means Danny's Smart Doll Mirai. Being a new hobby goer I doubt he even knew there was a DD Mirai yet.

 

While not technically a DD, she is made by Danny, I got her and I love her. I highly recommend getting one if you can!

- a normal skin body (DD2, DD3 or DDS, S/M bust)

I feel a little left out for having a singular want list but it works for me. uvu; The only girl I'm after is Mariko or Mariko-sensei. Either version will do because I love her for her face rather than her skintone or paraphernalia. I'd also love a body for Inaho-san but I suppose that doesn't count.

I've been wanting saber lily for a while now. I really like her outfit and sword. ^~^ I cant post the url but im sure everyone knows who she is.

This thread is super old but Sasara 100%.

She's my favorite DD because her head sculpt looks like Chii from Chobits.

I've scored most of what I feel I can actually reasonably get and have high desire for.  But there are a few others.

Saber Lily = If she gets a re-release I will somehow make it happen

Ranko Kanzaki v2 = As I type this, it's still before the lottery on Volks USA and I'm not entirely sure I will enter.  She'll probably be my last DD for a long while if I enter and win.

Kirika = I sort of kick myself for not going for her a long time back.  She's lovely with an attractive fullset.

Melty = I think she's cute.  I think I lean towards her fullset

Alisa v1 = I prefer the v1 fullset.  I don't know if the faceup is actually different, but in promo pictures the v1 looks nicer to me.

Mash Kyrielight = She looks cute.  Considering my opportunity for her won't be until mid-2021, it might happen.

Kaede = Yeah, I regret not inviting her home.  Maybe someday

Feena Fam Earthlight = This is really just because of nostalgia.  A Feena scale was the first "expensive" figure I ever purchased.  Since she's a DD2, I'll probably never bother.  

DDS standard Karin = If space and money were no issue, I'd bring her home.  She's a cutie.

That sounds like a lot, but other than the first two, all these are pretty low priority to me at this point.

I desperately want a Kanu Unchou! I can't afford her right now and she's only going to get more expensive and scarce as time goes on

I do kind of want both a Yoko and a Rise, although the after-market prices for Rise are just too much for my poor frail nerves.

i'm mostly into custom dolls but i really can't resist any of the touhou project releases! particularly the DDS marisa, she's so pretty... but whenever i've seen her for sale anywhere (which is rare in itself) it's for like $1000+ so that might be a bit of a pipe dream for now. 0___0

I don't know where you've looked so this is just general advice: Don't look for Dollfie Dreams on ebay because prices there are way too high and are that way to take advantage of people who don't know other sources.

Marisa is 60,000 yen (around $550 currently), unused, on Mandarake, and is available from multiple shops. This is a very reasonable price for any limited discontinued DD:

Used ones with issues minor or not so minor are typically less than that price as well.

Mandarake is very reliable and a great place to buy from.

Well...  yeah, generally speaking ebay is not very good for Volks DD dolls.   But that's mainly because of the professional resellers.  Every once in a while, you can find a plain ol' Dollfie hobbyist selling something, and on those occasions the price can be fairly reasonable.

I got my Saber Extra from a user on Ebay and I feel I got a pretty good deal.

I got my SD16 Daria from a seller on Ebay and the price was better than what I've seen on Mandarake and the one I bought was untouched as well.

I also got my Sheryl Nome from a user on Ebay, and even though I paid dearly, I felt it was worth it.  (And then Volks re-released her a couple of weeks later, but I'm not bitter.  Nope.)

And sometimes you can find some fair prices on heads and outfits.

But it is really a matter of checking constantly and luck.  Mandarake is the better bet.  Ebay is a hive of resellers, scalpers, and bootleggers, but there are occasional bright spots.

Kanu is such an angel, I just put one on layaway. She's one of my favorite DDs!
