Who is on your want list?

I really want to buy a Yui Hirasawa again. I sold her quite a while ago and still miss her.

I also would love to get my hands on an MDD Mayu.

Mariko!!!! If everything right now that I am selling goes I can get her fullset and there a biggie when I only want her head DX

I will always be looking for her and I will probably never be able to get her.

Mio and Airi (QB), but I doubt either will happen.

I think I'd happily pick up any of them if I caught them at the right price, but the "right price" for me seems to not quite match their current market value.

Since I was able to get Mashiro, I can happily and officially say I have no more girls on my want list.

 

Sure there are a few that would be awesome to own. But realistically I'm totally satisfied with the girls I have now.

I really like a want list better than a unicorn list because I have a few girls already so I really don't need any more (not like that will stop me), or that the ones I want are that hard to get. Availability vs. personal funds makes a huge difference in what I personally would think of as hard or impossible to get. Anywhoo...

 

My list:

 

#1.) 05 head

 

I have been aching over this one for MONTHS now and it is the first one I've literally been wanting to throw money at Volks to get my hands on. I neeeeed it...

 

#2.) Yukino v.2

 

Seriously she is not that hard to get but she keeps getting pushed further down my list because a few surprises have come my way (Bree and Kos-Mos) and many of my DD kids need bodies (4 at the moment then 5 when I get the 05 head). The other night I dreamed about someone on the forums putting their well known Yukino up for sale (in a weird yellow dress) unexpectedly. I spent the rest of the dream in a panic trying to talk to them to sell her to me. Yes, I know it's bad. After I woke up I realized that my mind had made up the popular forum member, and I really hate yellow. My adorable Yukino just seems illusive to me.

 

You'd think that my favorite sculpt would be the 01 because that's what most of my girls have, but the 03 is the one that really made me fall in love with DD, and the reason I only want two of them at most (Tamayuki & Yukino, maybe 1 more). I just see that face and it makes me melt.

 

After that I've thought of a lot of other characters that would be fun to make but I'm still undecided on if I will actually pursue them.

 

--> Aoi (modded head)

--> DDH-06 for a girl from one of my stories

--> Mai because she would make an awesome Rainbow Bright

--> DDH-03 to make an MDD raccoon girl (one of my fave animals)

--> Duck from Princess Tutu (01 head on MDD body)

 

And heads just to make boys:

 

--> Saber Extra

--> Aoko

--> Mari

 

There are quite a few other sculpts that I like but I really don't know if that is enough to have them be unique enough not to disappear into the background. If I had the chance I'd love to play with any sculpt I could get my hands on, but that's surely a pipe dream.

Unfortunately I've been looking at Yuki M a lot lately which I have to stop doing she keeps getting cuter >_<

I actually have a few heads waiting to be painted that I really wanted so I'm happy with them as well!

However I'm sure Volks will make me trade my soul for something soon

I have four in y immediate sights right now!

 

- Melty head to turn into a boy

- Saber Lily head to turn into a boy

- Alna

- Either an 06 or Milhi head to turn into a custom anime girl

 

I'm really trying to focus on getting my Melty.

I want to make him into a Dollfie Dream Sister (Brother?) boy!

Currently I'm looking for a Saber head, just a Saber head and any Saber head. xD;

 

I've vowed to get nothing else on the want list under any condition seeing how having Yagate, the character Saber is supposed to be turned into, will complete my triad together with Momo and my Aoi.

I'm in love with Melty's full set so she's on my list for sure. I'm also keeping an eye out for the pre-painted 07 head. I hope it becomes available as a standard soon.

Can you blame them?? About a year ago they seemed almost nonexsistant. When I first realized I wanted Tamayuki to be a boy, I wasn't even sure it was possable. I think LordNoir had maybe one or two as WIP at that point and I saw less than 5 DD boy pics between the forums here, Flickr, and Google image searches. Granted that didn't cover pics that weren't in English, but I'm sure a few people thought it was weird that I had an MDD boy.

 

I'd like to think I maybe had a tiny portion to do with 'DD boy awareness' but I'm also not self-centered enough to honestly believe I had anything to do with it.

Haha. I remember 'googling' male DDs and it was all photos of LordNoir and Tama-kun. And, no, I for one didn't think it was weird. What I thought was weird was why there were no anime based male dolls, just a whole bunch of realistic, pouty resin boys hehehe. I mean, c'mon, I wanted Archer, Edward Elric and Sebastian Michaelis, to name a few and I wanted the anime versions.

 

So, I'm quite glad that there are more male DDs. If only Obitsu would hurry up with the 65cm male, then I'll be closer to my dream.

I was so desperate for a DD-esque boy that I looked at Volks' BJDs to see what they had to offer. It's no comparison. I don't know why Volks' R&D doesn't notice that if guys (the target market) like volumptious females in skimpy clothes from anime, why wouldn't girls be just as ape over the muscular/masculine anime guys in equally skimpy masculine clothing. Or samurai. urrrg... I better stop now...

 

There is so many of the pouty BJD 'boys' (sometimes how can you even tell?) that I see a lot of them and I just want to slap them. Yah, real mature, I know. I really like the BJDs but very few of them I would consider getting because they either aren't anime style enough, or you have to stand on your head and squint before they look like boys. Or they are elves. I have a personal vendetta against elves of the Tolkien kind.

 

Now if I could really add a want list/unicorn to my list it would be Zelgadis Greywords (Slayers).

I love my Amami Haruka (Bree) so much. Poor girl will get a body someday, but will just have to share with her brother until then. I really didn't even understand at the time when she was released why she wasn't that popular. Her face is just so darn bright an happy, even when she's just a floating head, she just looks like she's totally loving being a head. My Bree is an oddball anyway.
