CK170 Posted July 25, 2024 So, I noticed that digital cameras are all the rage here, but I thought I'd start a topic to share any experiences people might have had with traditional photography too! I realize that using a good film camera is yet another expensive hobby for an expensive hobby forum, but I still would love to hear what you all think. Expect this thread to be updated from time to time with my experiences and anecdotes of using an Instax Mini to photograph my dolls. Feel free to share your own stories here too!
pericat Posted October 25, 2024 I'm very interested in how well dolls photograph with an Instax Mini, since I was thinking of getting one, myself! Definitely following to be here for updates

CK170 Posted November 17, 2024 I figured that I'd give some comparisons on different light levels. This is the same doll taken with an instax mini 12 or 11(can't recall). The left image is the highest setting, the right the second highest from a slightly further distance. I think for pale dolls, going with a high light level, but close distance to minimize the distance the flash travels is probably the smartest decision. Rajke Posted December 16, 2024 The Instax mini also has a small range with the burn point. So I wonder on what distance you photographed your girl. I think you can get in that way a sharper photo. With the light I think the photo area is to dark for the camera. Some additional light might do the trick. Greetz, Rajke
