Hatsune Miku repaint/custom faceup

I'm so incredibly lucky to have gotten a Hatsune Miku of my own. I have several DDs but she's the first character doll that I'm keeping as the character she was made to be. All my dolls get faceups by me and Miku is no exception! I really do adore her default faceup and I think Volks did a good job with it, so I wanted to capture the original shapes as much as I could while also adding depth and warmth.

As with all my faceups nowadays I made a mockup first. I experimented with giving her eyelashes but I found that it made her look too mature. My compromise was to add eyelashes on the teal inside of the eyelash band which was somewhat inspired by Miku NT's default faceup.

And here she is! I think the blushing around her eyes came out more orange than peach but otherwise I think I'm happy with it despite how nervous I was.

Congrats on your Miku, she looks amazing! I love seeing how mockups turn into real-life works, and I think you did a great job translating it~!

@PlasticJester Thank you! Mock-ups have been a personal game changer for my faceups in the last couple years, otherwise I don't think I would've been confident enough to wipe Miku 😅

Same, I do mockups before all of my faceups now as well! It seems like it takes a lot of courage to wipe a factory face, but you made her look so cute!
