Deathslayus Posted September 1, 2024 Currently I own a rin kagamine dollfie and the hair is frizzy and not the exact shape I want it to be in, so I saw a mist and brush combo someone was selling and decided buy it to use it on the hair. Unfortunately this mist is for keeping a specific style, small parts of the hair now feel like it's a tangled stiff mess. I tried to brush and it feels like i might do some damage to the hair and brush. I rush ordered shampoo & rinse, treatment mist, and oil spray. Should I do the shampoo first to get the wig mist out then dry it off to follow up with a treatment mist ? ( .... sorry rin )
ohnoaiwa Posted September 1, 2024 sometimes all you need is a good wash and some brushing! After washing out any product in the hair (you can use a gentle shampoo or dish soap) wait until it's completely dry before brushing the hair and starting from the ends, working your way up. depending on if the wig is heat resistant or not, sometimes I use a straightener to smooth things out after brushing. Don't do it if the wig can't take heat! If you need to restyle but can't use heat, try wet setting it. There's lots of tutorials online how wig styling/repair! I've picked up a lot from cosplay, playline doll and general wig styling channels.

I've picked up a lot from cosplay, playline doll and general wig styling channels. It did help a bit with untangling hair (a few hairs lost in the process) but it still feels like a small faint texture to the hair, I'll wait for the shampoo to arrive and give it another go. Hopefully I can style it back to it's original form when it's dry, I've got the treatment and oil to help with that part.
