zyczenn Posted September 10, 2024 In this video he is using V Color thinner to smooth out really small bumps. After looking around the only "vinyl paint thinner" I can seem to find is Vinyl Wonder vinyl thinner. Is this the same type of thing or are there any alternatives? RozenGermain Posted September 22, 2024 IDK personally. In my experience water is perfectly fine as a paint thinner though. There are popular DD faceup artists that just use water.
lossychan Posted February 6 I have been researching this personally ^^. However I don’t know much about chemicals, so I can only look at similar products. On EU site “Stardust Colors” there is “Sofubi Thinner”- This is thinner for soft vinyl paint, you may hear Tsutomu Ch. refer to “sofubi” or soft vinyl for the DDH. I believe this is very similar to any V-Color paint thinner. I don’t know if this ships outside of EU yet, but I will probably try to buy it eventually. For US, sites like Barlowes Tackle has 1oz bottle of vinyl lure and jig finish thinner. I believe this is for vinyl paint used on fishing lures, it may work the same ^^. The Vinyl Wonder thinner looks really good! I think it would work the same. I was generally looking for hobbyist uses of vinyl thinner as well, so I think it would work alright. I would probably test on something you don’t mind getting damaged first.
