What are the odds all bodies will get a 2.0?

I'm not sure how popular each body is, but would they all be getting a 2.0? So far it has been MDD and DD, but what about the others?

I'm assuming it's the plan? While 2.0 isn't a crazy overhaul, I'd say the update makes DDs more appealing to new buyers (particularly the added head movement).

DDDY would deff be next in terms of popularity.

guessing where the priority would lie between ddp and ddb is hard to say.

pretty isn't popular (i think), but it's a doll they sell on their storefront. and there's an entire conversation around Volks and their treatment of vinyl boys lmao.

DDS has been announced, but I haven't seen anything about DDdy.  After seeing how the DD 2.0 poses, I can't wait to see the DDS unveiled. 

On one hand as the resident DDP fan I want them to get a 2.0 (more hands and bust sizes, please!) but on the other my own DDP girl is tan and I do NOT wanna have to replace that body.

With the new Volks News, we got a tease for MDD Mochi-Ashi 2.0. The two tiny pictures they had didn't really give much insight, but it seems the transition between torso and thighs is done a lot better now.

A bit hard to predict in what order DDS, Mochi-Ashi and Chimikko (which probably counts as part of the 2.0 generation) are going to be rolled out.

I agree that DDY 2.0 is probably next after these. Just this weekend, we were speculating in the Zoom meetup that Darkness from KonoSuba would be a likely launch candidate here.

I'm honestly a bit fearful that Volks uses the shift to 2.0 to drop DDP altogether. As the first f3 design, they would probably need a bit of a frame overhaul too (granted the DDP vinyl shell is already pretty well designed), and it's probably only lucrative if development is backed by a decent character release.

As long as DDB and DDSB continue to use the same frame as DD/DDS, they'll probably stick around (worst case in their f3 iteration) in some form, with shell updates probably tied to character doll development.

 

Of the F3-generation, IMO the DDS already has the nicest overall body line and poseability, so I'm in no rush to upgrade, but it's still nice to see all the improvements. I'm low-key thinking about getting a DDS Karin and I'm not sure if I should wait for a potential 2.0 re-release of her or better not wait too long in case Volks pulls a Liliru on her...

Mochi Ashi 2.0 is already being sold. The ad on page 66 of Volks News 105 is the announcement that they’ve started selling it.

In the panel on the F3 2.0 at Dolpa, these questions were asked ( especially about the DDdy and any boy dolls ) and other than the bodies they showed like the Chimikko, MDD and DD, every one of them was answered with a "We're not sure yet so please be patient as we figure things out and let you know in the near future."  Bleah.  Not what we wanted to hear for sure but everyone in the panel was obviously wanting new bodies for boys and the DDdy because when they asked for a show of hands on who wanted boys and DDdys, the whole room lit up.  I don't think they knew how popular these are here in the US because the looks on their faces said as much.   Hopefully they will take this info back to headquarters and let them know what the US collectors are wanting.
