nsfw Body Comparison photos for DD's *DD NUDITY*

Could someone show me what the *real* difference between a DD lower torso and a DDS lower torso is?
Volks' measurements say they have the same waist while DD has a hip of 225mm and DDS is 235mm, but that's never looked right to me- DDS lower torsos have almost always look slimmer and/or longer than DD ones.

For context: SO wants to shorten one of their girls into a DDS, but since they make their dolls' clothing themselves (and doesn't want to tailor their patterns to a different size if they don't have to), they're unsure about what torso to get.

While I'm sure Volks measurements are correct, there isn't really much width difference based on measurements I took with a dial caliper. Where the two torsos really differ is in the roundness of the butt (DDS has a nice round & cute butt), and the roundness of hips (DD has rounder hips that are probably meant to be more mature looking.)

If you put a DDS torso on a DD you will get a doll with a slimmer looking hip profile, and a cuter butt. The overall effect looks fine, but different from a dd.

There is no height difference when comparing Mio and Sinon (DD with DD Lower Torso.)

You can see how the DDS hip just isn't as round.

What we're getting from this is that the roundness from a DD hip moves from the hip to the butt in a DDS, so to speak, which also makes a DDS look slimmer (at least from the front) because the waist isn't as pronounced. Does this sound correct?

I would say it's the hips aren't as pronounced, but you have the gist of it.

Here is what I mean by rounder butt. DD is on the left and DDS on the right. The scale is not quite the same, so ignore overall size.

 

Here is a comparison of various bodies that I did awhile back.

Been thinking of "upscale" one of my characters "Clone Dee" from MDD to DDP, is there a Large chest type compatible with it? Also are the feet close in size?

Was going to go with the new Mochi-Ashi MDD but I have so many tall boots that I fear would not fit. 

If there are any old posts regarding it any remember I would love to peruse if you good folks would send them my way. ty 😸

@Tigger I’ve seen people swap out the DDP bust with Obitsu 50 busts and the fit seems to be really good. I think a photo was shared on this forum

DDP and MDD can also wear the same shoes so you won’t need to get new ones. DDPs also have arms the same length as MDD so they can wear the same long sleeve shirts/dresses.
