I didn't know about the secret elbow joint! That's so helpful, and now I can pose my girl with her hands closer to her cute face.

 

The side pics of their busts really help me out in decided what sizes I want next and the feats of fabric engineering I'll end up doing to enhance them.

 

Someday I'll get DDy girl, they really pack on the WA-BAM!

But I have to ask though, of all the DD bodies you've had, which is your favorite or which do you find easier to work with? I'm trying to decide which one I would like for the custom Nana Komatsu head I'm getting.

As for my favorites, I personally prefer the original DDdy and DDII L-bust bodies over all others. They're both very sturdy, well balanced and look great. I have yet to see a DDdy3 in person tho so I can't hold judgement for that one just yet. But I've heard it's not quite as curvy or full like the original is. I likes my anime girls curvy!

 

I own one DDS and one DD3 and even tho I like the DDS a lot, I still prefer the older DDII bodies more. The newer designs are just too thin and fragile for my liking... but the Cool Cat parts for those bodies make a HUGE difference in strength so that may be the way to go for any of those.

 

So even tho the newer bodies are great for posability, I'm just not sold on them like I am with the older ones. The DDdy may be a bit limited in how it can pose but I have 4 girls on that body and I can easily work around those tiny limitations.

I came into the hobby right when the DDS body had been invented, and my third girl was one. My first two were a DDDy and an MDD. The old MDD body irritated me with its floppiness, like how I couldn't stand her on a table at a meet for fear shed fall into the food. So I replaced it with an MDDIII, since the dimensions and aesthetics are nearly identical. So now all my girls are III model bodies except my DDDy. And I'm finding myself at an awkward place with it. I really love the aesthetics of the original DDDy body, and the DDII. But I'm used to the posing and the risks of breaking associated with the III bodies. So now I find my DDDy to be comparitively floppy....... like, if she's been in a position for a bit shell stay, but if I just moved her she feels loose. If she was standing and I move her to sitting but don't lean her against anything, she'll fall over backwards. I don't know if that's normal or if something needs tightened.

 

Anyway, long story short, those who are used to the II series bodies seem to prefer them for their aesthetics. While those who came in in the III generation prefer the posability. I guess I came in just late enough to fall into the second category.
