Yoko comes with the natural bust, and is the only DDy girl to do so. Unfortunately for us it was never an option part. ):

 

Awh~ that really stinks.

I like the curvy-ness of the DDdy body but the boobs are too circle-y.

I hope that one day someone is willing to sell the bust piece of Yoko or somethin'.

Don't want to have to buy her just to get her bust. XD

(I'm wanting to get a DD Manaka one day and I wanted her on a DDdy 3 body with that bust).

 

What some people have done is take a DDII/III L bust and trim off the excess rib cage so it'll fit on the DDDy. That would get the silhouette of the natural bust, or at least close to it. Then you could sand off the nipples to get the last detail to match.

 

The circle boobs are kind of weird when unclothed--I once saw them described as having an invisible push-up bra. If you go the modded L bust route, you may want to still save the default bust, because it does look good in clothes where the breasts are supposed to be pushed up, like corsets. Swapping busts is apparently pretty easy on the III frame girls, so it may be worth considering. (Though even if you do save it, you may want to sand the nipples on it, too, because L and DDDy nipples are crazy pointy!)

I used a pair of curved scissors especially made for cutting lexan bodies for radio controlled cars to do mine and it was easy. I used the X'Acto blade to clean up odd edges and such afterwards but any sharp blade or razor will work. The X-Acto is just easier to control than other blades in my opinion.

 

I agree that while nude, the DDdy busts do look a little odd, they certainly look awesome with low cut dresses and shirts! Same with the Shapely L-bust. I hope your mods go well!

Thank you so much for all the information! 🙂 Will definitely look into once I am able to have a DD Manaka, and a DDdy 3 body with the DD III L Bust along with her default bust. :3 It'll be awhile though since I want a modded ddh-04 mini dollfie dream first (if I can) before I get her. But if I do get her and am able to do this, it's going to be so amazing! ^^

Now that I've seen it done, I'll be a bit more aggressive about it. I'm sure it will help the quality of posing -- and pictures -- considerably. (The sense of humor was good, too.)

Thanks! On the hidden joint thing, if you feel uncomfortable pulling on it really then just use a hairdryer on them to heat up the elbow vinyl on the upper arm part. After I did that it became VERY easy to pull the elbow part out to expose the hidden joint. And yes, it does make things much nicer for posing!

I've understood Volks offer S, M and L sizes though it's hard to imagine how anything bigger than S would look good on a MDD body.

I've only got the S and M sizes for my MDD girls but I've been thinking about getting the L just to see how it looks in person and under clothes. The M-bust is actually very nice and doesn't look odd or out of place at all on an MDD girl in my opinion. If you want a pic of the S and M sizes next to each other I can take one this weekend for you.

I think the MDD exists to really give that "child" feeling and so when I found the boob sizes on Volks site the L bust really .. caught my eye so to speak.

 

But yeah, especially since I don't own one it is hard to grasp how much difference there is in the sizes and how they would look on the body as a whole.

 

I'll be waiting with interest and for sure the picture will contribute to this thread nicely. : D

I got an MDD L-bust recently, and it does help clothes fit better. It doesn't look unnatural at all for the outfits I've tried so far. I don't have a lot of photos of it yet, but there is this one-
