Xeli's Miku NT Thread

She finally arrived this morning! Customs still hadn't sent the letter with the charge reference, and I didn't want to wait any longer, so one phone call later and she was scheduled for a Saturday homecoming... 

She's unlike anything else in my collection - soft vinyl, tall, hair that's soft and needs actual proper care... I also understand what yous say about not being able to stop at just one. I know I'll be making another order soon LMAOO 

The eyes are what get me the most. They're not "follow-me" eyes, yet it still seems like she gazes at you from quite a few angles. It's so damn cool. 

She's getting settled in on my shelf now, looking very comfy :3 
I saw a lot of ppl saying the stockings were very stain-y, so I thought it would be wise to just put the white socks on that I bought a few months ago in advance. Past me was kinda goated for that decision. 

Birthday update: Next parcel arrived today with some new shoes, other accessories, and a bodysuit!
Devastated to find that the chair had stained the back of her thighs, but at least it's only at the back (and is now covered by the bodysuit...) 😭 

Bought this dress back when I got my lottery announcement email so it's been waiting for a while. She looks so cute in it! 🥺 

I injured myself trying to swap the hands out though... I think I'll need some replacement hands after trying to wrangle the joint for so long, lmao. I'm hoping it will get easier the more I swap the hands but, if not, might need to look into getting some spare hand frame things so I can just swap out the whole hand+wrist joint combo. 

And here she is in the shelf now. I re-arranged some of my figures in the shelf above so I can display her standing up (which is probably for the best now considering the stain-y crimes that chair has committed...)

She looks lovely in the dress you got her  Also I can definitely reccomend getting a few new wrist frames for extra hand sets if you want to use them often and don't mind spending a little more on each of them. It makes swapping hands so much less of a hassle and can help lessen the risk of denting or staining them since you don't need to change them anymore if they are on their own frames. (I learned the hard way swapping them while having longer painted nails and almost ruined one of Kaitos painted nail hands with my very own lol )

You can warm up the hands with a blowdryer and that makes them a lot easier to swap out!

Ooh, she's lovely! Such a sweet smile. I love how she looks in that pink dress! 😄

Aye, I think it'll be okay for now as it's just two pairs but if I plan on getting more, then it's gonna be a problem hahah

Not feeling in the festive mood yet... so what better way to kick start the season than my first bit of decorating! No, not the tree. Or the lights...

It's kinda crazy how photogenic she is, even when being captured with just a phone camera in not-so-ideal lighting conditions, haha 

Ordered some alternate hands and more clothes for her in the meantime... If it arrives quickly enough, it could work as a gift for her, haha. 

I was so happy when I finally received an actual Miku. She was really the reason I entered the hobby in the first place. Long before I got Miku, I acquired Miku Miku hair for my first DD Towa.

I always buy hand pegs for their spare hands as they're really difficult to replace otherwise. Since my tribe sometimes make YouTubes it's much faster on set to just swap out the hands when they're on pegs.

My Miku (with Yor Forger). I was one of the first to get her as I have the original Dolpa version.

Christmas is over (for me anyways, am never into the festive season), so thought a casual fit would be a good start to the new year.

I didn't realise how large the SD shirts were, I was expecting an "oversized" look but this is a bit toooo big... Will see if I can adjust it with some amateur sewing, lmao.

Looking forward to when Volks release these shoes bc I think they'll look so good with this outfit 🙏🏻

I really like the shirt, but if you're looking to make it a bit smaller, I think a little hem will help with the "too big" aspect. Maybe take in the sides a tiny bit, but otherwise she looks great!
