DDS clothes

hi! i recently ordered DDS Karin, and this is my first dollfie so i already have a lot of questions (but i'll answer those myself when i get her), though im not sure what kind of clothes fit her. i have some SmD fitting clothes, and some obitsu 40-45cm clothes if that helps 

SmD shorts fit DDS perfectly, but Mirai branded pants and shirts will probably be too long. I find SmD shoes don't fit Volks dolls at all.

Volks branded clothes for DD & DDS will fit, but the newer clothes do a better job of being adjustable for different doll body sizes. 

As far as Obitsu 40 - 45, I'll defer to @chef_mai, who has done a lot of experimentation in that area. 

AZ02 clothes should fit DDS well. 

AZO2 bottoms fit well on DDS, both shorts and skirts. Azone 50 stuff will slip on but be micro-mini skirt length. Almost no 45/MDD clothes fit, but that's to be expected.

Azone tops are hit and miss because the DDS torso is longer, and the shoulders are broader. You'll have better luck with an S bust than an M bust. I rotate between the two depending on the outfit. She's wearing an S bust in this pic.

The AZO2 uniform stuff fits well since it runs longer and baggier. 

Mai is currently rocking a AZO2 school cardigan with the kazuharu kina sailor uniform underneath. It looks really great and has been her outfit for the last month.

I'm really happy with her as a DDS. The only tweak I see making down the line is an upgrade to the 2.0 body when it drops next year.

The Volks chair stains, hence the toilet paper covering. 😂

Hi, all of my girls are DDS, I absolutely love the size of them and I've tried clothing said to be for lots of different dolls.  Here's some info just off the top of my head.  

Anything for SmD is going to fit great, but pants will be just a bit too long.  My girls are M and L busts and I've never had a problem in terms of torso fit. A good chunk of their wardrobes are SmD sized clothes.  

SD13 and SDgr clothes are going to fit fine.  They'll be less contoured through the waist, so for dresses you may have to pin them back for photos.

SD16 will fit L bust DDS dolls, but not anything smaller. Learned that one the hard way with a planned outfit. 

Just about anything with "1/3 SD Girl" is going to be baggy in the arms and trunk, same with Feeple60s.

Feeple 60 is probably pretty big compared to a DD. My Feeple 65s make my SD16s look small. I don't have any F60s myself, but @Cauldroness does, and she might be willing to speak to the size difference there. I'd expect an F60 to be a bit bigger than an SD16.

If you like resins, Feeple and Minifee are beautiful dolls.

This is where newer Volks clothes come in. I'm finding an increased number of eyelets for adjustment on the newer items; that includes things like the new blue striped bra and panty sets they released a few months ago.

I find stuff that is made for SD13 seems to have the best fit with DD. Usually Volks makes SDGr/SD13 fits, but every so often you find an SD13 fit from another vendor and they are just a bit smaller than SDGr. SD13 pants especially seem to have a better fit. SD13 is a few cm shorter than SDGr, and has legs a few cm shorter too. The chest size is comparable between the two. 

F60s are tiny!!! 😂 They are actually 53cm (normal legs) or 54cm ("long" legs). They're actually pretty compatible with most DD and DDS clothing, although they do have slightly wider waists. My F60 girls share a lot of their wardrobe with the DD and DDS group.

The size difference between F65 and F60 is truly ridiculous. F65 are ginormous in comparison.

thanks for everything!! luckily, most of the clothes i own fit SmD's very well which means i wont have a problem. i also have some obitsu clothes, and depending on which ones they fit them nicely too. as long as they look a bit loose in the pictures, they should fit SmD's (though its a bit harder to get them on )

O.o, so they really should be called something more like F55s?

I took some photos to show the sizes of the dolls that have been mentioned, and give you an idea of clothing fits.

All the dolls here have no shoes on and flat feet, except SDGr Ariel who has heel legs. Those give her about 2.5 cm of extra height.

Some really tight fitting SD shorts aren't going to work on a DDS. Some of them barely fit on a DDP.

Do you mean Super Dollfie in general, or the specific model referred to as Super Dollfie?

MSD / SDM shorts are very tight on DDP. MSD / SDM are about MDD sized, but I can't speak to SD as a model because I don't have one. They are supposed to fit SD13 / SDGr clothes.

Did Danny change the vinyl dimensions? Comparing Infinity's hips to Iori's, there should be no way that shorts that fit on SmD wouldn't fit DDP. My SmD are all older Milk dolls, so I know nothing about the recent models.

I could see them not fitting DDS though. 

I think it wasn't the width of the hips so much as the shape. The shorts looked really short on the DDP. I've never owned a Smart Doll, but I don't think the shorts were designed to be such low riders.

I could see them not fitting DDS though. 

In my experience, the body shape of the base SmDs has stayed pretty much consistent over the frame generations.

Their early shorts were super tight even on SmD themselves, so I could see how it could be tricky to get them onto a DD or DDS. Their current shorts are a bit wider and require less wrangling to get them on a doll. - I might be able to do some test-fitting later today. Any shorts intended for either SmD or DD/DDS should be way too wide for DDP. (I got my Iori shorts that are specifically sized for DDP.)

I had no problems getting my DDs or DDSs into SmD shorts. The older (tighter) shorts looked pretty good on DD-f3, but would be a bit baggy at the top back on DDS-f3. The newer (less tight) ones had the baggieness in the back on DD, and were overall a bit wide on DDS. But on DDS you could pull em down a bit and they'd close flush, giving a more of a low rise appearance.

On DDP, even the tight SmD shorts are way to wide to look good.

They are from "Usagi Dou & Kame no Sato" (うさぎ堂&カメの里). - One of my favourite makers for affordable casual clothes.

Unfortunately, I don't think they sell online. But they're attending I-Doll pretty regularly, which is where I grab their stuff.

They make a few things in DDP size and long pants may indeed have been among them. I'd have to check at the next convention.
