I thought of another doll goal for 2025... can my tribe go an entire year without a staining mishap 😆?

Maybe finish my hybrid custom I'm working on, potentially getting Sakura Miku in the rerelease if the doll god wills it and do 2 original character customs.

I just tallied all of the DD costumes that require different wigs for the doll, and found that I can add five more dolls to my future.😅

I've promised Towa a grail for her 5th birthday in October. That's assuming we can locate her again (the last one that appeared went to somebody else while we were making up our minds lol). Also it depends on whether Volks have any amazing new releases in 2025.

If All Goes Well... Beginning of FEB. i'll be Welcoming my Very First genuine Dollfie Dream-Adjacent Third-Scaled Hunnie...

in the form of a mid-2010's AZONE Happiness Clover Girl.

That is all i can say for now... but i'll keep you all posted over the next ten days or so...

of which by then i'll definitely know whether she is a done deal or not.

I've owned my Very First Third-scaled Hunnie for about a Week now.

She employs AZONE's version of the OBITSU 50 Body, and i've heard that the Shoulder-joint peg retainers tend to Crack and Split with Use.

i've also heard that, - at least at one time - some third party produced Aluminum Reinforcement Rings

to Strengthen those known Failure points with.

My New Hunnie, Kureha, has not shown any signs of issue at all... but, since she means the World to me,

i'd like to Acquire a set of those Metal Rings for her, for the sake of Peace of Mind if nothing else.

Any Help on Achieving this Endeavor would be Deeply Appreciated, Thank You...

There are actually 3 places that will break easily.

The shoulder, leg connector and ankle connectors for the leg to the feet.

So far the worse for me are the ankle connecting points which affects 3 pieces of plastic increasing the probability of failure plus squeezing boots into them increases the risk.

I have been able to reproduce that O ring in the feet with a softer plastic and metal ring which so far have not broken for all my 7 OB50/AZO2

The other 2 however I have no solution other than buying spare parts.

AFAIK, the metal rings are for the shoulder and hip parts of the DDIII. They won’t fit the Obitsu body.

@gj581g created an improved shoulder part that you’d have to 3D print below:

Otherwise, I’ve heard of people using zip ties to reinforce the shoulder part, but I’m not sure what you could do for the leg and ankle parts. Maybe a thin layer of super glue on the outer part of it?

The ankle part may have been improved with the new GGR body and may be compatible with the old one, but the new GGR body and its parts are not readily available yet.

I Recall finding out a long time ago about those shoulder rings. Obviously; i had long forgotten that they were VOLKS DD Body-specific.

Yeah; there's a good chance i'll want to upgrade her to the GGR soon as it comes to General Market.

For the time being... since this particular Kureha was a 2022 Edition, surely her stock OBITSU here will give me some years worth of reliability;

Surely plenty long enough to at least Bridge the gap to a GGR General Release.

That Said; i did go ahead and apply the Cable-Tie Reinforcements. i've heard Horror Stories

on how hard OBITSU 50 Girls were to disassemble... but, Good Girl that Kureha here is,

she ended up being utterly Straightforward and Painless to work on...
