My first DD Aoi

Hi guys!

 

So, my first DD, Aoi, has safely arrived home. Although there were some issues with customs, and other weird things, I met her this morning.

Whew, I was really anxious who the heck would ring the doorbell around 7AM, it was our postman who I've almost hugged (he knew about my problmes with the customs, I'm a well known fellow >.>).

 

Unfortunately her clothings and stand didn't arrive yet

 

Seems like I have to be more active to share my pictures, until then!

I know how hard it is to wait, especially when some parts arrive earlier than the others. Hang in there!

Hooray! Another Aoi joins the fold! Like Galvatim said, Aoi is a wonderful girl and you two should have loads of fun. I'm sure the clothing and stand will come in soon so don't worry.

 

Make sure to go and chat up some on the forums so we can see Aoi when she's all ready!

She is the Aoi 2nd Ver., I decided for the newer version because I read that you can move the Base Body III more freely for poses and gestures

As for the pictures, I only made some with my iPhone camera, a DSLR is in work, just need the perfect promo offer

Is it normal that the hair parting near the forehead looks a bit weird, like it wasn't cut correctly? Also is it normal that you can see the fabric where the hairs were sewed in?

Not that it's a problem for me, I managed to style her now with some hairclips from my sister, but I'm just curious to know.

Nothing wrong with some added styling needs on a new DD and wig. Seeing the headcap, that fabric under the hair you mentioned, is normal on many wigs. It bugs some people, like me, but isn't a big deal to others. As long as you have it looking like YOU want, it's fine.

 

As for the bangs/hair part near the front, you can trim some away. I've had to do this on a few wigs before and it's not a big deal. Just use some sharp scissors and only cut small bits off at a time to get the look you like.

Aww she looks great Exokiel! Glad to see pictures of her 2nd version Aoi is very sweet, I think she'll probably join my household in the future (way in the future haha). Congrats and I want to see more pictures

That last picture is too sweet! She looks really nice... the new version Aoi has a very soft look to her.

Aoi ver. 2 is so cute! She has a much softer expression than Aoi ver. 1. (Not that I don't love my original Aoi. Don't want to get stabbed in my sleep or anything... )
