Mixed nuts -- 2024 edition. (Mild lingerie warning)

So, for starters, this is no comeback tour, just a bit a digest of whats been going
on in my corner of the world the past year. Just want to share photos, and nothing really more.

I most likely wont be replying to any comments because of reasons I wont go into, so bear that in mind.

Also sticking this in the general photo section this time since there are some dollbot entries this time around.

From the larger photosets I've mostly selected three of the best shots, so more can be found on the flickr.

As usual, no real photoshopping done to the photos, all standing poses are freestanding without any shinenigans to keep the dolls up.

So to kick off we have this, where I finally had The Three J's in stock after many trips on the taxfree ferries:

Panda Mint, a random posh outfit find on Manda again, which is quite cute, and still on display. I sort of wish the panda embroidery wouldnt be upside down, but cant have it all I guess:

Christmass & new years 2024 was a bit weird... I left Yor in her box because the doll was such a dissapointment in terms of what really counted.

The first set for january I dug up Shinon, and gave her some mandarake finds in the form of a negligee and wig, my old photo spot with the sun courtain backlight also made a return:

The first new addition to the collection last year would be a first edition Arle Nadja, dubbed Arianne in my tradition for Audrey Hepburn characters if i ditch the main theme of the doll. a few things need to be fixed on the doll, but overall was a nice find for the price:

One of the grand old ladies made a return, since because Yor was a flop I had a semi-white dynamite body to play with, so Kos-Mos got a go in one of the more recent Chinoserie outfits:

The second arrival this year was ... a Baka I really wanted to take more photos of the default outfit, but the shoes were deteriorating faster than I could touch them up, and the wings are extremely fragile as I found out by chipping one of the tips so only two photos resulted:

The Revenge on the saturation, one photoset I've wanted to redo for a long time was one with Milly in the combination of two TC-Doll outfits, that was plagued by over saturation, since my D3200 had its terminal quirks, but finally managed to take some proper balanced shots:

Deko on the Mochi. I got myself a old style Mochi-ashi body out of curiosity, and Deko was the first to have a go .. with an awkward green tint applied to the photos due to user error on my part:

Cool Diamond Ranko, the my first star outfit has been an all time favorite of mine, and I did contemplate would I put Kaede in it, but I dont take nearly enough photos of Ranko who remains my best girl of the series.

Discount Miki mk.III. So, I've made no secret that I've always prefered the original Idolmaster 1 awakened form for Miki, so here is another of my sabers, this time Nero jumping into the Wild Strawberry outfit:

Classic Nagato, old girl Yuki found herself in a classic combo I wanted to redo, and the old Azone cheongsam still fits like a glove. Man how do I miss this era of Azone...

the 2.0 versus DD2 ... I happened to get the "early release edition" of the DD 2.0 body, and ... I wasnt really impressed? In day to day posing even an old DD2 can keep up fairly well without incident and you can mod the neck the wrists to do the party tricks of the 2.0.

And we come to the third arrival of the year, which as you could guess from the previous entry was Aqua. I didnt really desire Aqua since I dont appreciate the character at all, but I am a completionist, and oddly enough the faceup didnt have an insulting ammount of deadspace between the eyeholes and eyeliner, so the doll had that going for it as well:

Now for a bit of self contemplation, since the following photos were partially posted on the forum back in june, but I deleted them since I had a bit of a personal fit due to things going on, and a few other factors, but here they are again. the additions four and five this year. the Dollbot Kaya's:

The Kaya is a fun sculpt, but because of the big expression they have they dont really suit long and multiple photos, but still perfect for the occasional snapshot:

A Blanc from the past. Now this head is a bit of a shame, since it has some pedigree being a Nekomagikura thing from ye old days. but.. its a white skin, and finding a body for it turned out to be a moot thing, the closest seems to be the Dollbot plantina but its still an obvious shade difference.

Bridal Yoko, I found a suitably shaded red wig to use with Yoko, and one of the old Volks bridal outfits I've had laying around finally got a chance to be displayed:

Returning to some heads that have been in a drawer for some years, Milinda got a chance to pop by:

On the theme of stage returns, is Luka and the fancy Coolcat lingerie set, both are a bit awkward to work with, but I did manage to get some acceptable photos:

The second to last new arrival for the year was a Blue eyed Alicia, that also came with red eyes, which was a bit of a weird release compared to the Kaya's that came earlier this year, but the doll is sort of cute, and I didnt mind getting more dollbot bodies in stock. The alicia head however is a bit .. weird, with the eyes and eyeholes being a bit miss-matched.

I accidentally gave Deko two photosets this year, when I wanted to see how the dollbot outfits fit onto a DDP... and they do ... sort of:

A near standard Sabine? not quite, but I finally got around to pairing the custom painted Yuki Ogura head with the secondary outfit for the doll ... too bad the boots seemed like they would crumble to pieces if I had put them on, so had to settle for a alternative pair from the white version of the holy-gifter set:

This years halloween set was a bit limited, and lackluster since stuff was really piling up mentally, so just throwing my Rise into the old tenshi no koromo outfit from ye old days had to do:

Nearing the end of the year came the last addition to the collection, the Black diamond edition of Alicia, in green eyed flavor... Again weird that dollbot did it this way and didnt offer the alternative eyes as separate purchase.

These photos suffered a bit of over-exposure since it had been a bit since I had last touched the camera.

And thus the year came to an end, and it was time for the usual holiday photo set, and I found myself almost lacking a suitable ammount of 1/4 sized outfits for the session:
