Skygirl Posted January 9 How did you find doll clubs or meet ups in your area? I found one doll club in my home town, but it says it does everything from antique to modern. That is a really big playing field. I've heard conventions are nice too, however I don't own any Volks or other big brand dolls. I live in a pretty big city, but I'm not sure how to go about finding a flexible group like our website. I'd love to hear your stories and advice. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

There might be BJD-oriented groups depending on where you live, but I'm not sure about ones just for vinyl dolls. I've only been to one doll convention, and one non-doll convention that had a doll section, and both were "all dolls welcome" types, so I assume that's most common! I think people usually find clubs and meetup groups by either posting in hobby forums (like here or DoA) asking about your specific area, or by looking through Facebook groups. I see posts about meetups on DoA pretty often, usually titled like "[town name] meetup Jan 2024" and such. You might also find something by just googling things like "doll club [town name]" or "doll meetup [town name]", or maybe "doll association", "doll convention" etc. If you can find any doll hobby focused Discord servers for your area that's also really useful for finding meetups! Since you said you live in a large city I think there's a decent chance that there's ether a Discord server or maybe a regular meetup group.
