Aside from the usual difficulties with applying it, sketching with it was a dream. Even with loads of paint thinner and a 1/20 brush my acrylics dry super fast, so getting those nice thin lines is difficult. If you have any tips I'd be happy to know. Kseniya is a SWS DDH09. Her wig and outfit is Volks, and her eyes are from another Dollpa attendee. The packaging says _lilianya but I haven't been able to find a store with that name. She was my first attempt at painting on an open-ish mouth. I'm really happy with how she turned out! Menelay is a NS DDH-07. Wig is a very heavily modified Aisha/Nikki stock wig. I fixed the sizing issue by sewing an elastic band, and then styled it with a mix of heat and boil washing. There's a sliver of one of Volks' October sets in there, but the turtleneck was sewn by me. Going into his faceup I knew his wig was going to be fairly light, so I adjusted the contrast to match. The "black" in the eyelashes are actually various shades of cool-toned greys. Getting the desired finish was quite difficult. It took about 6 coats of MSC to get him to a satiny finish and at that point I just gave up lol. Thankfully he still appears pretty matte in photos. I'm not sure why his vinyl feels so much smoother/firmer than my other dolls, other than it having something to do with how they dye NS/or produce Dream Choice dolls. But I haven't ran across another person with this issue so I'm not sure... Assuming the weather gets better soon, Aisha herself is next. c:< 5 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
stars Posted 14 hours ago These look beautiful! The eyelashes/eyeliner have a lot of depth. I just did my first 2 faceups on a DDH-09 and DDH-07, they're my favorite sculpts by far. I'm looking forward to seeing Aishas faceup!! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
