Bedtime!

Having a lot of girls sometimes means that sleeping arrangements aren't the best. It's a good thing that a few of my girls prefer sleeping on the floor on traditional Japanese futon beds because I don't have enuff American style beds to go around.

 

Thankfully, my Mom has gone the extra mile to provide me and the girls with a truly magnificent upgrade. Mom had a special package shipped to me about a week ago and she told me it was something she wanted to give me for Christmas but the place she ordered from was out of stock at the time.

 

She wouldn't tell me what it was tho. I had to wait for it to be delivered before I knew. I skipped the box opening and building process because I was just WAY too excited to take photos of this.

 

So please enjoy my girls and their new addition to their furniture collection.

Thank you! I had to do the slipper slike that because I see it in anime a lot. And Squiggy doesn't take kindly to poking. But she likes laying in your lap.

Thanks! The other girls were also getting ready for bed. Mai and Mou-chan share a futon on the floor in my room next to Rei. Manami and Mamimi share one of the regular beds and Miyuki and Yoko sleep in the other normal bed. Rei keeps noise to a minimum at night... she likes her sleep.

I know the bed looks similar to a MyTwinn bed but it's from another website. I want to say this bed cost about $55 plus shipping. A steal if you ask me since it's well made, detailed and comes with 2 small pillows and 2 thin mattresses! My Mom is supposed to email me the website so when she does, I'll post it here for everyone.

 

And ladders do rule. The only thing better would be CHUTES.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the girls and the story. The bed is wonderful and fits them so well. It's not from Ikea. I am waiting to get a link from my Mom on where she got it from. It was someplace online that sells all sorts of doll furniture. They have regular styled beds too, not just bunk beds. I just thought that for the space it takes up, sleeping 4 instead of 2 is way better.

Not to sound like an echo but... SO CUTE!

 

The mention of falling off the top bunk made me flinch though. That happened to me when I was in grade school one time at family camp. I woke up when I hit the floor and groggily climbed back up to bed, only half aware of what happened. The next morning my aunt said that she thought she heard a bear outside our cabin during the night, thumping around. Someone else in the family asked if it made a lot of noise, and she said she only heard it once. That's when I said it wasn't a bear and that I had fallen off the top bunk. Everyone just stared at me.

 

I feel like a grandma who always wants to make everyone quilts... I can't even understand how Raven can sleep with just a sheet in January while I'm under 3 blankets. I just hope your house is really warm for your girls Baldylox!

I'm really happy I got this bed as it's been something I wanted for a while. I had wanted to try and build one a while ago but I never got the time or design together to do it. But Mom strikes again! She really is awesome and I made sure to show her the pictures too. She seemed to enjoy them.

 

I put the part about falling off the top in there because I too had a bunk bed when I was little and I fell off it. It had no safety rail so I flipped over the side one night and WHAM! Not cool.

 

I'm glad people are enjoying the story tho, I had to do something cute and sweet to balance out all the motorcycle hotness from earlier!
