Obitsu Legs

hi everyone

today i tried to get the neck piece out of my doll's body (parabox 40cm) but was unable to do so... it even bent the metal on my vice!

so i decided to disassemble the entire body.

unfortunately i decided to remove the legs... ... easy to take off... putting them on again took an hour...

but now her left leg is much looser than her right leg.

is there any solution to this problem? the screw in the joint is as tight as it can go

hi

the neck piece on my 50cm girl came out no bother so I have not tried to take her apart so I have no ideas for you, sorry

K2 a member over on Dollieh Sanctuary (am I allowed to mention another forum) has an almost godlike knowledge of the Obitsu dolls so it may be worth posting there as well, he (think its a he) has posted several times with pics of disassembled Obitsus and Yamatos which are based on the Obi skeleton.

Several of his dolls are hybrids of the two and one uses DD parts.

good luck with her legs

Till Troll

I have a 48cm Obitsu, and bought the 50cm leg parts separately. When swopped her legs out, I had the same loose leg problem, but after a closer look, I realised the hip part wasn't fitting on the abdomen part properly: the skin was in the way and it hadn't gone all the way in. It took a while to manoeuvre the leg on without the skin getting in the way, but once I did the looseness went away.

I've got several heads, each on their own neck pieces, I find twisting the neck piece/head combo from side to side while holding the chest piece firmly down around the neck/shoulders helped.

I second the K2! call: he's a veritable Obitsu Guru, I don't think there is a single combination he has not tried/body he has not dissembled.
